This is a wonderful little treasure in a fantastic location. Close to Paddington Station, Lancaster Gate Tube stop and a bus to Westminster Abbey literally outside your door. Every one of the staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was included and their wakeup calls were always prompt. The rooms are a little...

I stayed here for 1 night this week with my husband. The hotel is well situated for the tube station. It was a nice hotel, clean, with friendly staff, who were always happy to help. Our room was small, but comfortable and basic. In need of a makeover to bring it up to date. The biggest fault, was the uncomfortable pillows...

I stayed here one night on a trip to London that involved a number of local hotels. This was by far the best and I was very happy with my choice. The room was a bit dated although the bathroom and facilities had obviously been updated and were very good. What was really good was the attitude of the staff...

We stayed for 4 nights. First, you have to take into consideration that this is not a 5* hotel. We had a pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly, day and night (especially the guys at night, excellent!). There is free wi-fi, which is convenient. On the top floor, sometimes you lose your access, but just have to log in...

Stayed for 2 nights on a superbreak deal. We chose the hotel due to it being so close to a tube station (Lancaster Gate literally 50m away). It is also next to the Marlborough entrance of Hyde Park which was lovely for an early morning stroll. The service was good at the hotel, as was the food at breakfast. The...

Where do I begin? For starters the room wasn't even ready when we arrived, they said it would take 5 minutes and it took almost an hour. When we got up to the room, not only was it tiny but we had booked a room for three people - there was a double bed and a camp bed on the...

First thing to say is this is a proper hotel - unlike some other budget options in this area which are basically B&B. I mean it has a lounge, a nice cosy bar, a restaurant doing evening food and even a little rose terrace out the back. Okay, the decor is dated and I can see why that would put...

Being experienced hotelier and professional in this particular field I found hard to believe that is possible to claim three stars for property like that. My biggest objections: terrible old and dirty carpet on the top of the slanting floor in the room. The same goes for the stairs to top two floors. It is scary just to think about...
