Very clean hotel, nice breakfast and located near Hyde Park and 2 tubes station (one of them is the central line). Very good value for money, we stayed 3 nights and we are very satisfied in general. I highly recommend it!

First of all, I would like to comment on various reviews regarding space! I'm fortunate enough to be employed by a company allows me to stay in superb hotels in many big cities round the world. Plenty of them are very compact and not dissimilar. Either sightseeing or conferences, hopefully you are not in your room 7-11!! Phoenix is in...

For year's we have been to London for a week in january, staying at Phoenix. This year is no exeption. I always feel very welcome at Phoenix, with friendly staff, nice rooms and a warm athmosphere. Phoenix is located in an area with nice restaurants, pubs and in walking distance to Portobello road. London tube is also just a five...

Clean and excellent location! The phoenix hotel is located Bayswater, North of Kensington Gardens, with excellent Tube connections. The location is situated in a residential area, but, still so so close to restaurants, pubs and shops. Bayswater is one of London's most cosmopolitan areas, a lot of interesting restaurants and just a short walk from Notting Hill and Portobello Road....

For several years I have attended bettshow.com and as a part of it the tradition has been to stay at Phoenix. Meeting participants in a relaxed environment at Phoenix is extremely important and is provided by the staff at Phoenix. Our regular meeting point in the bar has been most successful and has bonded good relationships over the years. For...

This is a somewhat small "boutique" hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the breakfast was good. The front desk staff was very helpful answering our questions on London. It is a very pleasant place, and we would go back.

The location was a bit further away from Paddington as you would like but it's a decent enough area. The main reason I liked the hotel was the price, very good value. The room was small but had everything I needed. The walls are thin.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
