The location is good, you can take bus 148 from Victoria Station to Queensway (20 minutes), in front of Hyde Park or the Circle Line from Victoria Station to Bayswater (potentially slightly more time). Walking distance to the hotel. Area with shops; food stores; pharmacy; post office, etc. Walking distance (35 minutes flat walking) to Oxford Street. Front rooms are...

I stayed for 2 nights in the Phoenix Hotel in February and had a most enjoyable experience. I arrived early but my room was ready which I really appreciated. I stayed in a double room for sole use as I prefer to have a bath rather than a shower in the bathroom and the management accommodated me in this respect....

I stay frequently in Bayswater for business trips and this hotel is one of my top choices, if available. Always value for money and a great vibe in the hotel. Definitely one of the top hotels in Bayswater for the price.

London has such a variety of hotels, it's hard to choose. I've found this one to be just about right, location-wise as well as price-wise, for a couple of days in this great city. The hotel compares well to a lot of other hotels in the same area (Bayswater -- just a short walk to the nearest Tube station) and...

I spent one night at Phoenix hotel travellig for work and it's a very good hotel for a good price, mainly if you travel alone or for work. It's is only 5 min from Bayswater subway and less than an hour from Gatwich airport if you get the Gatwich express train. The room was very clean and there is a...

This was my very first visit to London so I was quite apprehensive about food and accommodation. I needn't have worried because our stay at the Phoenix hotel was pleasant in every way. Our room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, warm and quiet. Breakfast was very good while the staff were always very friendly whilst at the same time discreet...

I found this hotel too late, so I wasn't able to book for our whole stay. We spend our first night elsewhere, but as I got to London I decided to book the other nights here: maybe one of the best choice I did! The hotel is clean and nice, staff is kind and available for every request. Position is...

Cons: Room is very tiny, reception team is not friendly, no AC in rooms (which is a problem in summer), a very noisy neighborhood, breakfast is very limited. Pros: price is good, location is perfect, and room is very clean.

Review for single Room 103 - first floor, facing street. The room was very clean with high speed internet and it was enough for one person. Decent continental breakfast but if you stay more than three days it can get a little boring eating the same thing every morning. You can find a lot of restaurants and supermarkets nearby and...

What a find so convenient for the West end reasonably priced helpful staff and a lovely breakfast - we will be going again. Three underground stations Tottenham Court Road, Queensway and Bayswater all within walking distance.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
