We booked the family room for a family of 4. Our room was spacious with high ceilings, bay windows and very comfortable beds. Modern furnishings, coffee & tea and a small fridge. On a side street so not much street noise. Bathroom was modern and clean with a rain shower head with great water pressure and lots of great shampoo,...

At a great price, I booked to be near my sister-in-law who stayed at Holiday Inn. The Malaysian breakfast was the selling point. All the staff were warm and professional. The room was terrific (307). The Sainsbury's delivery trucks ended their activity (Reverse beeps) well before it was time to knock off. Clean, well appointed, comfortable bedding. Their coffee was...

The Pros: Proximity to Earl's Court station is nice - it's about a three block walk. The hotel is well appointed and rooms are nice (think Marriott business hotel). They also offer a phone for use while in London. The Cons: We had three in our party and when we booked through Expedia the reservation specified two beds. What we...

The first room we stayed in had a leak from the roof and the air conditioning didn't work making the room very hot and difficult to sleep in. The staff were very nice though and accomodating and moved us to a different room which was much better. Once we'd settled into that room we found the hotel comfortable and nice....

I booked this hotel based on the many great reviews but I must admit that It did not meet my expectations. The Good: - The hotel is in a very quiet neighbourhood, in Kensington, close to Royal Albert Hall and many great museums. The Gloucester Road tube station is a five minute walk (and links to three different lines), many...

This hotel is just of the main street so it is not very far from the tube or other attractions. Breakfast is included with room. Hotel is very spacious and has an elevator, but can be a little confusing to get to breakfast on the other side of the building since there are two elevators.

First trip to London and stayed 6 nights here. Super well located in Kensington. Easy access to underground and Hyde Park. Rooms very well appointed and service by front desk staff was exceptional. I wouldn't get over excited by hotel restaurant but a wide array of local food choices nearby

I have had the fortune to stay in London a few times, and learned to expect so-so quality in comparison to other similarly priced accommodation elsewhere in Europe. I spent six nights here with my partner in a quiet room with a large comfortable bed, a generous bathroom with copious hot water and plumbing that worked!! There is good wifi...

Two night stay booked on a good deal through a hotel and travel web-site. Lovely room, nice size with good amenities and big comfortable bed. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Complimentary bag storage was helpful for sightseeing on the last day. Only downside was breakfast - thought we were getting a full English but turned out to be just continental....

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
