Stayed for 5 nights. I'm used to the small size of the rooms in London, but this was one of the smallest. The bathroom was tough because I am a larger than average person, but it was usable. The water was plenty hot and I took my normal 10 minute shower no problem. The room could definitely use a little... More

A room located underground, exactly under the lobby (so that each time somebody entered the hotel, I heard their steps loudly) without speaking about the toilets of the reception also located above the room and which made a huge noise each time they were used... No table nor desk (of course) A very tiny bathroom Really a bad room. Otherwise,... More

Overall the hotel was terrible. We were a family of three. The staff was unfriendly and we did not feel welcomed. We booked for five nights but we checked out after the first night because of various reasons: The photos of the rooms on the website did not look like the actual rooms. We wanted to have our coffee in... More

Booked for 7 nights as single adult traveler. I got tiny single room, about 2*2.2m where the toilets were outside the room under the stairs. The toilets were very small, where one should have a flexibility of Chinese rubber girl in order to sit and relax there. obviously there no place for towel in the toilets. After one night (actually... More

I dont know where the moaning critics were staying, not here! Fantastic location and incredible value for a hotel 5 mins walk from Hyde Park and Marble Arch. The MOST friendly and helpful staff. The room and bathroom were small (impossible to sit on the toilet without crushing your legs on the shower cubicle), the corners, paintwork and carpet were... More

Our stay at Griffin House Hotel was more than disappointing. With a group of 3 we were given the downstairs basement level room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The amount of space in the room was perfect for the three of us to use with 3 carry on sized bags we were comfortable. The beds were extremely... More

I needed a small room in the centre of London as I was meeting friends for the evening and then had a short drive to another location in Westminster the next morning. I wanted no frills, somewhere to lay my head and considered hostels etc, but stumbled across the Griffin House Hotel and I was impressed. The hotel is located... More

Single rooms in this day and age - only in Mayfair, London I guess. How they fitted the actual bed in the room was the only mark of excellence but god forbid the cleaners who have to try make the bed or even open the window! Three floors up and no lift, a lock on the door that was older... More

Clean, welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a very small ground floor bedroom. The bed, floor and bathroom door squeaked and we did feel uncomfortable to think people in reception could hear us. We only wanted a bed for the night and it was fine for that. We didn't have the breakfast option or use the shower.

Tiny rooms, cleanish, no information packs in room, location good. Appreciate it is in a "good area" but leaves a lot to be desired. Breakfast area again tiny with poorly arranged seating arrangements.
