Good location and good standard rooms. The rooms are a bit dark but there's lots of room to work, even in a standard double, and they have Sky Sports and a nespresso coffee machine so I was all set. I also appreciated the early check-in. I'd definitely return. If I had one niggle it was the lack of choice on... More

We loved it in our short stay to london. The hotel was great and very very clean . The staff was very friendly and the place is just at the heart of the city. Just behind the ritz but half price. The breakfast was also great too.

You cannot beat the location, close to all the tourist action but tucked away on Jermyn Street. A well run refined hotel. The rooms are a little tight. Have stayed there numerous times on previous occasions. The room windows can be opened for some fresh air.Recommended.

We satyed at the cavendish over a weekend and have to say whilst a great location and friendly staff everything else was poor. This is the first hotel I have been to with the rating that I feel let itself down The room was to small with the shower room that had no space to move. Breakfast you had to queue... More

Staff were extremely responsive before and during our stay (thanks Cristina at desk and Jack at Concierge). Loved quiet location on elegant Jermyn Street, close to Piccadilly, Buckingham Palace, National Gallery, but just outside the fray. Try 45 Jermyn for dinner, right across street. Liked least the room size: shower door opens awkwardly into small bathroom, queen room really designed... More

Everything about this hotel is just stunning. Helpful, informative , beautifully clean rooms and so central we didn't need a taxi. Opposite Fortnum and Masons , walking distance to the theatres. The tourist bus is on the next street and Liberty a short walk away.

We arrived at the hotel after a long flight and were unfortunately put in a room that resembled a shoe box, it had a view of the top of a building but mainly it was so small and claustrophobic I just couldn't stay in it. Basically a room like this should not exist. At reception I was told it was... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
