It was our second stay at the Cavendish hotel. The Executive room is great. Enough space , king bed, big bathroom with shower and bath. Really nice ! People are very nice and always ready to help. Just one attention point : on Sunday morning they seem to be overloaded during breakfast , so we had to wait 15' for...

The Cavendish markets itself as a hotel with "230 luxury rooms", but in my view they're quite average, a bit dated and could use a fresh renovation. The highlight of this hotel is its truly amazing location (and I write this as someone who previously lived in London). Pros: - Kind staff that were always ready to help and very...

I stay at the Cavendish at least once a year and will always go back. Always good staff and excellent rooms. Only drawback is that I think the breakfast menu is a little complicated now. We were not sure if some of the variations were now chargable and just stuck with the buffet which was a little limited.

The Cavendish is a fair hotel, which is situated I in a great location in the heart of London. There is no gym, but one can go running in the parks nearby. Prices are high and it would be nice if they were always quoted inclusive of taxes. Good for sightseeing, ok for business. You don't need breakfast at the...

I booked an overnight stay a few months in advance on the winter warmer advance deal at a bargain rate (to celebrate our wedding anniversary). The hotel, staff and location are all exceptional in our opinion. Close to all major attractions. We have stayed here several times before and it's a firm favourite of ours with no reason to stay...

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in the Cavendish. My husband had organised our stay as a surprise first anniversary gift. The hotel very kindly upgraded our room and we received complementary champagne and chocolates! We had dinner in the Petrichor restaurant on Valentines night which was delicious. My husband had contacted the hotel in advance to inform...

Stayed here again when visiting London. I really don't see why people would want to stay anywhere else, there are no more superlatives I can use for this wonderful hotel. Location, view, value, staff, the Cavendish has everything.

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
