The room was dirty and full of dust. The bathroom was clogged. Breakfast very poor, terrible service. All very messy and dirty. Not good quality if food. Great location. Great concierge, very kind and helpful. I would not recommend it

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cavendish. It is amazingly quiet, considering it's right in central London, within walking distance of all the major attractions. (BUT SEE NOTE ABOUT CONSTRUCTION!!) My room was stylish, with nice touches (like a sheet turn-down service!), also convenient in design. The mattress was very comfortable, and I loved the bath/shower room. The staff...

This was my first visit to The Cavendish London but I sure will come back. I visited London for six days for Opera, Museums and some shopping and the location of the hotel was just perfect. Walking distance to everything and the Pocadilly Line runs all the way to Heathrow. The room was on the smaller side but as I...

This is a favourite London hotel - just off Picadilly, surrounded by wonderful men's clothing and shoe shops, and a mix of restaurants on your doorstep. The Royal Academy is steps away and it's an easy stroll to the Mall, Buckingham Palace and Westminster. Staff here are welcoming, friendly and professional. Rooms are all well furnished, nice style and quality...

I couldn't have been happier with our stay at The Cavendish. The location is premium as it's just a block off of Piccadilly and an easy walk to shops, restaurants and the Tube. It's very close to Green Park, and walkable to Buckingham Palace, St. James' Park, the War Rooms, etc. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms were...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Cavendish in March 2017. The hotel itself is lovely and the location couldn't be better we walked every where all weekend! The room was lovely, however it was extremely small. If we had been staying more than a night this would have really bothered me although for just the one night it is...

Well it has been now the 4th time that I have stayed at this Hotel, and if you go to the same place whilst staying in London that is always a good sign. This time however there were one or two things which I have to say were a shame. First of all, there used to be a lovely Bar...

From it's web-site the hotel looked great. But I never saw the rooms in the pictures. They must keep it of-limit for the photographer. Our were much smaller, worn out and did not have the furnishing you could see on the picture. As I was staying for a whole week, I decided to get a suite to have more space....

Had a lovely room at the Cavendish; beautiful views towards the London Eye. Very quiet - except for idiots in next door room who swore very loudly and at length on the Saturday night at 2.30am. Not the fault of the Cavendish, which was perfectly situated for our nights out, and for the Royal Academy.

I love the location of The Cavendish and they really won me over because I had to switch my flight from DC to London due to some weather concerns. It was a tremendous relief to land at Heathrow to find an email that told me that they would have a room waiting for me when my plane landed. The location...

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
