Fantastic 5 star hotel, room was great with comfy bed. Good selection of offerings from the mini bar and superior bathroom facilities. Very friendly staff. The full English breakfast is oustanding and sets you up ready for a day of exploring London. The Martini Cocktails in the bar are amazing! Extremely potent! Location is perfect,

Very far from being a 5* experience. Arrived late to find a very small and slightly tired room. Hoping to get a good nights sleep, but woke up at 3am when the aircon suddenly started to sound like a jet engine. Got it turned of, obviously not being able to fall to sleep again. Looking forward to a hot morning...

Fantastic 5 star hotel, room was great with comfy bed. All staff helpful and friendly. Martini's in the bar are amazing! (Not for the feint hearted though!) Location is perfect, we walked everywhere we needed to go this weekend. Will definitely stay again.

We visited the bar- it was surprising to see it completely full for a Wednesday early evening. We had to wait a while for a table but after a short wait we were taken in through the bar. Lovely staff, really cosy atmosphere, felt like i was in my living room. Great selection of drinks, each with their own twist!...

We visited the Drawing Room at this hotel for afternoon tea. The experience is well advertised as just the place to go for a quiet good quality ( slightly expensive) afternoon tea. The food was ok, but I was surprised to be served a rocket leaf sandwich. The room was really relaxing and the service was excellent. The whole experience...

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your recent experience with me and my team. I was thrilled to hear that you found the service to be "excellent". Good location, small, old fashioned but comfortable enough rooms, nice big bath, good breakfast, bar (and bar staff) was a bit stuffy (typical Mayfair) e.g. men HAVE to wear jackets at all times, policed with an air of snobbery, not relaxing, reception staff on check in and check out were both lovely, room service staff the same. Slight sense of...

On business in London and used this venue for location and reputation Certainly delivered on quality and style Professional staff across all sectors - Lithuanian doorman was superb Drinks in the bar in basement quirky Breakfast slightly slow but delicious The hotel itself was squeezed into a vertical cylinder and felt rather cramped. Old fashioned lift is quaint but frustrating...

I treated my mother to a birthday afternoon tea at the hotel, and was very impressed with the quality of service. The tea itself was based around gin which was very unique (and servings were very generous!) and the sandwiches, scones and deserts were excellent. Staff were very accommodating when changing the sandwiches due to a dietary requirement and the...

I really love this hotel. Comfortable and elegant, without being pretentious or stuffy. Great service and staff. I often pop in when I am spending the day in London to linger over a pot of tea in their lounge, and it is an element of the lounge experience that I find perplexing — the music choice. The background music is what...

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
