The BW is the perfect location to access everything in London from the tube which is merely 3 minutes walk away. There's a huge variety of cafes, shops, restaurants & a grocery shop within a 5 minute walk. The rooms are basic, but have everything you need. The breakfast is a cold buffet with plenty of choice and the staff...

This was a very comfortable hotel for my wife and I. It is very close to Earls Court Underground station but is in a very quiet side street so there was little outside noise to disturb us. Our room was very neat and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The only problem was the duvet was not really big...

arrived here for a 1 night stay over the weekend. The hotel is extremely close to earls court tube which was great, with plenty of places to eat around. We arrived at 1, and was told we had been allocated to room 50, which we were told was a very nice room on the ground floor, but that it wasn't...

I usually book hotels in London at the last minute as I travel frequently between Dublin and London. I always find that there are deals to be had on hotel rooms if you are booking last-minute, so as long as you are not fussy as to where you stay in London then that's what I recommend. I got this hotel...

I had a single room on the top floor for a weekend stay. Generous sized bed and I used the deep window sill to store my overnight bag. Good Wi-Fi and useful to have tea making facilities. OK sized bathroom. Floorboards were quite creaky - wondered if my movements could be heard below, so resorted to tip-toeing around the room....

Very nice old hotel in a lovely area, staff were all extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were modern and clean. all usual amenities in the room. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. It is very close to Earls Court tube, maybe 3 minutes walk but off the main road in a quiet square with a lovely park in the middle...

I would have given this a very good rating but I'm afraid it didn't quite come up to expectations. The front of the hotel looks over some gardens, but we were given 2 rooms in the basement (42 & 44) which looked out onto some grubby green steps. Our friends had to request a move at 1 a.m. as they...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
