This is a perfect hotel choice for sightseeing in London. For me, the key to exploring London is having quick access to the Tube, which is a two minute walk from the hotel. There's plenty of places to eat and small markets as well. I prefer Earl's Court because it's more quite, quaint, some parks and greenery. This hotel was...

This hotel is just spitting distance from Earl's Court tube, and M&S Food outlet, numerous local pubs and chain eateries. A slightly further walk opens up further possibilities for eating and drinking. We were upgraded to a superior room, which to be honest was rather small, and disappointing compared to another Hotel Indigo we had stayed in last time in...

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days while sightseeing in London and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel was very clean and quiet, well maintained and nicely decorated. The room was small by North American standards but typical for Europe. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the restaurant was a bonus. I ate...

Stayed here for a girls weekend in London. Staff and service in the hotel is excellent, not over the top but attentive when required which is such a great balance. We had a double room in the basement which was a good size, only downside was the bed was like a rock and some noise from staff using this as...

Usually we stay in the Nadler (formerly Base2Stay) down the street from Hotel Indigo, but their internet booking engine wouldn't function for me, so I looked at other options in the area and I'm glad I did! My husband and stayed three nights in August of 2015 in a Queen Deluxe room in Hotel Indigo and loved it! The room...

This hotel is outstanding from it's location (1 block from the Earl's Court tube station) to the very comfortable and beautifully decorated room. The amenities were more than expected and included free use of a cell phone. The staff were friendly and helpful in every way possible. There is a restaurant and bar on location, but we didn't try it...

The hotel is conveniently located not far from the Earl's Court subway station. The hotel area has plenty of for traffic, so we felt safe walking around, even at night. The is some renovation happening outside the hotel, but we barely noticed it, because we were out and about. The hotel is about half a mile's walk to a major...

Just back from a fantastic "busman's holiday" to the UK (born and bred in UK, living in Singapore for years). HI Kensington is one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. Stayed 9 nights late August and it really does define boutique. Bed was super comfortable (slept like a baby), room wonderfully designed, location was...

We had a lovely stay here in February, just after Valentine's day. Our room was gorgeous and nothing was too much trouble - we had an ice bucket brought up to our room within minutes! Breakfast was a lovely, relaxing experience too.

I stayed here during a tour. It was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at in London. It was very European and the ammenities - free cell phone to carry with you- was a MAJOR plus. Nice and friendly staff . Great decor in rooms.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
