We, a party of three, stayed at Sidney hotel for a long weekend in London. The choice was made with cost being a decisive factor for a hotel close to the center. Sidney is located within walking distance to Victoria and Pilmico tube stations. Furthermore, a bus stop is located exactly in front of the front door! I consider Sidney...

Have stayed here before and know the rooms are small. This time I was in a room you couldn't swing a mouse in - Room 209. The desk with drawers was unusable because the bedside table was jammed in front of it between it and the bed. The bathroom was clean but the 17" niche for the sink provided nowhere...

So, convenient to walk, cab que, bus, tube, Victoria and Pimlico stations. Perfect starting point for anything you want to do or see. Asked reception to call a Black Cab to take me to Heathrow, and a Mercedes car w/ driver showed up because the Sidney contracts to them for reduced rate. Quiet, and much better than some franchise, cookie...

A very good experience at this great and in a good location hotel. A very silenced area, with Pimlico metro station at since 5 minuts walking. Good attention, with any problem. I recommend it for two persons.

I have booked a trip to London via a travel agency, then my visa application got denied. This hotel refused to refund anything of 750 EUR I have paid them in advance, citing something like "we don't consider personal refund requests" as their policy - so they just stole the money. I've never heard of a hotel that "doesn't consider...

Such a shame that such a nice lobby and location could hide such terrible states (witnessed 6 people complaining on our 2 night stay) lovely night staff helped them get the 2 stars! After turning up early afternoon we were told we couldn't check in until 2.30. They were more than helpful in taking our bags off us so we...

I was recommended the Sidney Hotel by a friend and it did not disappoint. The hotel offered clean value for money accomodation in Central London, which is very hard to find. The staff were friendly and professional, our room was compact but had all the facilities you require including tea/coffee, the shower was great and breakfast was sufficient to set...

The location of the hotel was excellent. If you are travelling to & from Gatwick, this hotel is convenient, walking distance from Victoria, and bus24 stops just in front of the hotel. Pimlico tube staion is slightly nearer. We had a triple room, enough space for a couple with a 9-years-old, very clean with a nice, modern bathroom with plenty...

I gave this hotel 3 star rating because it is quite pleasant. The decor is modern and very clean as are the rooms, they are well serviced with a well kept hospitality tray. Toiletries are replaced daily. It's in a good location that is well served by both Pimlico and Victoria tube stations Pimlico being a little nearer and connects...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
