Nice hotel. Location is good in Kensington. It is very close to a tube stop so getting around London is easy. There are pubs and restaurants near the hotel. There is also a waitrose just around the corner. The hotel room was decent sized, bathroom on the small side. Breakfast in the AM wasn't too bad, meats and cheeses, yogurt,...

I booked here as it appeared close enough to get to (walking) after a theatre trip. Staff couldn't have been friendlier. We arrived at 09:00 & dropped off bags before our very busy "let's do everything in London" day in London. We didn't arrive back until nearly 23:00. Our bags had already been taken to our room & not only...

We were there from April 3 to 12, 2017. Excellent location. Very, very close to the Underground. If you go through the little mall to get to the Tube there is a big grocery store -Waitrose. We picked up snacks to take with us on our outings and wine and beer for later in our hotel room. When we arrived...

We've just spent a great couple of days in London and chose the Ashburn this time as we wanted to go to the V & A museum and checked that area out, We've stayed many times in London, at different locations and hotels (some not great!) but this was the first time we've stayed in this area. An easy ride...

Really lovely welcome on arrival, with a quick check in process. Room was very spacious and a/c worked well (not always a given!). My heart sank when I heard the tube.. and I thought there goes my night sleep! Turned out it wasn't a problem at all - coupled with an extremely comfortable bed, I slept really well! Good location...

We recently stayed at the Ashburn Hotel as our daughter is studying in London for the semester and her school was very nearby. The location is great....very near the Gloucester Rd. tube stop (Piccadilly Line) which gets you anywhere in London very easily. The rooms are very small, as is typical of European hotel rooms, but have everything you need...

Recently stayed six nights at the Ashburn. It is conveniently located on Cromwell Road near the Gloucester Road tube stop (District, Circle, Piccadilly), restaurants, and convenience stores. It is a short walk to the Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museums. My room was ready upon arrival, and it was clean and comfortable. I slept well in the double...

. I stayed here for 6 nights and can therefore offer an informed opinion. this is one of the best an most reasonably priced hotels in the centre of the city. Very handy for the tube and close to the V & A Museum. The hotel itself is supper clean and well appointed. The rooms are a good size and...

Conveniently located; well kept, comfortable rooms; and, friendly, efficient staff. We have visited London on several occasions and we liked that this hotel is in the museum area and is surrounded by several comfortable pubs and eateries, although I suggest you avoid the Vecchiomondo restaurant over the road from the hotel, see separate review. After a comfortable night we had...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
