This hotel was very good not only for it's prime central location but for the beds i wasn't on a real bed i was on a fold out bed but it was so good the rooms were small but there was four adult people in the room. This hotel was within about walking distance to 2 of the most famous...

We needed a one night stopover in London close to Whitehall. This was exactly right and we could easily walk from and to Waterloo and then to our function in Whitehall Place. The hotel room was in fact a very spacious apartment fitted with all the self catering essentials. It was very clean and functional- no frills. We had asked for...

We have just completed a 2 week stay at the citadenes. we are travelling on a budget and the studio apartment with is refrigerator and limited cooking facilities was just what we needed. the basics were all there, great wifi, clean, safe, friendly and helpful staff. yes there were expectations such as taking out your own recycle and garbage, but...

Citadines is an average hotel. It is a apartment hotel which means the rooms are larger than usual and there is a kitchenette if you want to make breakfast. The hotel did have self-serve washers and dryers which was nice. The downside is that you have to pay extra for daily housekeeping and they don't tell you that at check-in,...

Dear JimSATX Thank you for posting about your recent stay. Glad you found our rooms large and liked our central location. I am sorry the Front Office team did not explain the cleaning procedure on check in to yourself, which is the usual procedure. As you mention daily cleaning can be purchased which allows us to keep our rates as...

The apartments are located in a great spot of London - close to Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, Eye and a 10 minute walk to Buckingham Palace. Traveller_Dan_75 Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Citadines Trafalgar. As you mention our location can not be beaten with many great sights within walking distance. My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights, and was selected for us by our travel agent, due to its proximity to the heart of London - Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus within walking distances. Sadly upon arrival, the reception staff couldn't seem to find our booking, despite our booking being made and confirmed 4 months prior. The unfriendly...

The great advantage of our accommodation here is its centrality - two minutes walk to Trafalgar Square, the River, and the tube. Amazing! Reception with Andre and others is very friendly and welcoming, and the foyer and lounge are bright and cheerful. However, the corridors on our fourth floor look industrial, and my initial impression of the room is disappointing:...

Perfect location! The hotel was in the a great location within easy walking distance to the Tube stations and top attractions. We were travelling with 2 children so the 1 bedroom was a great size. There were several shops close by where we could pick up groceries so the kitchen came in handy to keep costs down.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
