Stayed at the Waldorf and I must say it was a fantastic experience the staff were very polite & helpful, the only criticism was that we had to queue for 15 minutes one morning for breakfast admittedly it was the morning of the London marathon but having a year or so to prepare I would have thought a hotel of...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

The hotel is superb in terms of decor, the rooms a good size for central london and fresh and modern. No more than you would expect if you paid full price but we were lucky to get a good deal. We would definitely stay again on a deal but obviously not on full price. A couple of niggles but only...

We spent the weekend with friends in the Waldorf and I have to say it was great. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were well equipped and the "Handy" phone is a great idea. It is a mobile in your room that you can take around London...

I booked for a party of 12 for a post theatre dinner. The food was excellent and as a special touch my mother received her cake with Happy Birthday written on the plate and was presented with a book about the Waldorf's history. The service we received from Rodica Tibucanu was outstanding. All our requests were accommodated for from menu...

When my husband & I visited London four years ago, we stayed at the Waldorf Hilton. Our stay was so wonderful, we knew we wanted to return for our most recent vacation. We even requested the exact room we had previously had & they were able to accommodate us! In addition, the Waldorf offers one of the best and expansive...

A very good hotel with friendly staff and good facilities in an excellent location. The room was great and it was comfortable and quiet. There is a good pool and gym. Breakfast was only so so with scrambled eggs that looked as if they had been cooked yesterday and the bacon required a steak knife it was so tough! The...

My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. We had a wonderful stay, it's right in the heart of the west end and as we went to see 42nd Street it was perfect. Taxi's were outside all the time too for easy access and there is also a tube station close by.

Excellent service from the time we registered until the time we left. Very attentive staff and concierge. Bar was cozy. Rooms somewhat small. Close to major attractions like theatres and tourist favorites.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
