Used points for inexpensive room. The location, if you are in London for theatre, is as good as you can get. The hotel is clean, the front desk friendly, and the water pressure good in the shower/tub. I think it is above average, so I hesitated between three and four starts. Couldn't get breakfast because it was too crowded. In...

We have stayed in a few hotels in London and I would say the hotel is generally well run. The welcome was very nice and no wait time which was nice. The room was a typical Hilton room, it was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was a bit clinical though but no complaints. Breakfast again was in grand Hilton style...

Three friends and I stayed for one night earlier this month as part of a leisure trip. The hotel is very clean and customer service is excellent. We received a phone call to check that everything was ok with the room and, since one of our party was celebrating a Birthday, a complimentary bottle of wine awaited our return late...

A great hotel in a great location. The staff really looked after us. For example, we got back to our room and there was a message on the answer phone asking us if everything was ok. I mean which hotel does this? We stayed in an exec room and it has perks such as access to the exec lounge. We...

My wife and I stayed as part of a business group and was disappointed with the bland room as we'd stayed years ago and had memories of a lush, warm and comfortable room. Instead we had a plain white no decorations or lavish curtains. Just plain and dull. Breakfast was a joke and at £17 was a disgrace. After waiting...

Managed to get a secret deal to the Waldorf in March 2016. Its location is perfect for a theatre trip, several within a few minutes walk. Lovely 'old fashioned' hotel with traditional doorman. Stayed in the Waldorf over the weekend of the London Marathon. I have to say all the staff in the hotel are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
