We stayed just one night whilst on a theatre break. our daughter had booked it on Booking .com. We arrived very early 09.15, the room we had been allocated was still occupied and we were offered an upgrade. The room was amazing. The décor lovely , excellent bathroom. Nespresso machine and coffee in the room. Couldn't find fault at all....

I stayed at the Bailey's for 1 week with my family in Feb 2017. It was an excellent and very pleasant experience overall. Location: The hotel has a charming character and situated in a very convenient location in London. It is literally acrossthe street from the "Tube" station. 1 Station away from High street Kensigton and 2 Stops from Knightsbridge...

Stayed at Bailey's for 6 nights. Picked this hotel because was near to the tube station and according to the reviews there were a lot eateries ...that was correct... Overall the hotel was nice, staff was helpful and friendly, bed was a bit soft but still comfortable. Shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, soap and cotton balls were provided. Boiler, tea bags,...

My friend and I stayed here during the first week of February. We had stayed at the hotel a couple of years ago and had been impressed with the service. The hotel has since undergone renovation and the updated rooms are comfy and nicely appointed. There were some minor issues with the room e.g. the bathroom sink is rather too...

Very nice hotel in a typical building, right in front of the tube station. Professional hotel staff. Breakfast is rich and various, and you can enjoy it in their bar-restaurant: waiters are efficient and kind. If you can try one of their beautiful suites, and you would never leave. Large modern shower and huge led tv in classic room also....

Front desk wasn't able to resolve room issue when reservation team was not on duty. The operation manager made the matter worse by showing her horrendous attitude towards guests. Front desk don't communicate internally with reservation. New loyalty programme is a flop.

A great value hotel with really friendly service, ideal for visiting the museums on Cromwell Road. Directly opposite Gloucester Road tube station too so easy to hop on and off if you want to visit other attractions. Various coffee shops and restaurants close by for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

After requesting a change of room , so we could be nearer the lift, we ended up in a delightful room. Although we did not eat in, the staff were so helpful - especially the door man - Mr. Rutherford in the red bowler hat ! Only complaint was the volume of background music in bar restaurant area ........ but...

Unfortunately we only had one night in this fabulous hotel but we are sure to return and spend more leisure time within the hotel and the vicinity. Reception staff were very professional and helpful and we were offered an upgrade to a suite at an additional cost and it was definitely worth the extra. We stayed in room 414. Plenty...

My husband and I have visited this hotel a number of times in the last 10 years. In fact, we always stay there on London mini-breaks. The location is fab - right next door to the tube with good links to Heathrow and the city centre, and a short 5 minute walk to Kensington gardens and Kensington High Street. The...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
