Nice hotel and great location to a reasonable price. Newly refurbished and with a great and serviceminded staff. We have stayed here on two different occasions and were very happy with our stay both times.

We were lucky enough to stay at the Bailey's Hotel for a few nights prior to Christmas. We really enjoyed all aspects of our stay. The room was large by London standards and beautifully appointed. The extra touches, such as the stunningly decorated Christmas tree in the foyer and the sweeping staircase, added to the sense of luxury, class and...

This hotel is great value for money in London, great location, literally opposite the tube station. The routes mean all of London is easily accessible. Extremely friendly staff particularly Gary the door man who was very polite and informative.

I was in England on business and stayed an extra week for play. I've stayed in many hotels and resorts all over the world, and I would not hesitate to stay The Bailey again. Positives: 1. Location! A. Directly across the street from the train station. B. Walking distance to almost everything. C. Tour(s) pick-up/drop off on street in front...

I chose this hotel due to its location to family and because it was located just off a convenient tube stop. I booked it several weeks ahead on Expedia and paid for it up front. When I arrived at the hotel however, the front desk acted as if I had no reservation. After I proved that I indeed had booked...

This is a fine hotel with a variety of types of rooms. Make sure what you select is what you need. We got a family room which had two queen beds and ample room for desk couch and an armchair. We had a nice street view, but it was still quiet. From reading other reviews it is important to check...

Stayed 4 nights in this hotel from the 24th to 28th DEC with my partner. We arrived early in the morning at about 10am and upon checked in, was asked if we wanted to upgrade our room so that we can have a room immediately, we didn't want the upgrade and proceed to register first. Thereafter, it was a pleasant...

A warm professional welcome at reception - we were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room at an extra cost, we didn't. We arrived about 1830 so I think a free upgrade to a room that I doubt would be occupied would have been a nice gesture to first time guests. Our room was extremely well equipped and very...

When we were preparing to visit London for our first visit, we could have chosen to stay at any number of hotels in the downtown area. However, we had a hunch that The Bailey's in the Kensington area would be better suited to our preferences. I have stayed in world-class hotels on business trips, but we wanted to enjoy more...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
