It is a year since my last visit to Royal Horse Guards and small but significant differences are noticeable especially in terms of service. I think there is a more relaxed approach and the guest is a person first and a guest second. A five star experience is not just about physical comfort but also being at ease. The team...

Great staff! We were upgraded to a suite and loved the room and views. We were tired from our travels and the staff especially Robert and George were very nice and patient with us. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!

The Horseguards hotel is a stately old building. The hall is impressive but rather dark. The lounge is nor really cosy. Bar is modern. Best part is probably the breakfastroom and dining room with the possibility to eat outside in the garden which is adjacent to Victoria Gardens on embankment so very suitable. We had a big room without a...

I have stayed at this hotel on two occasions. The hotel is in a brilliant central location! Very close to Embankment Tube station, unfortunately it was not open when we stayed there because of refurbishments but that is now complete. I stayed there the first time for an anniversary and the team were amazing! The staff are always courteous, willing...

Two day London stop for my Mother's 80th and Daughter's 21st at this wonderful hotel. The location is perfect for Trafalgar Square, Houses of Parliament and London Eye but what stands out is the quality of service and care. Special chocolates/flowers/cards and balloons in each room for the Birthday girls. Friendly yet professional. I doubt you'll find a better continental/English...

We earlier wrote a message entitled "Unreliable". I am pleased to say that Scindia Whitehead the Reservations manager has called and solved the problem for us. We really appreciate this and will be back, as our last stay was very enjoyable. We are talking with TripAdvisor to have our last review removed. Thank you again Royal Horseguards.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
