Stayed for one night whilst at a friends birthday party in a local bar. The hotel is well located, and a typical London business hotel - clean, tidy and well appointed rooms. Unfortunately, we were in room 817, and it was really noisy with some sort of generator pulsing away in the back ground. Other than that, it was a...

We stayed at clubquarters gracechurch for two nights and have chosen it because of its very good location and favorite hotels being fully booked, but also the price is good. To be honest, we expected a not so pleasant stay due to the lower price compared to other hotels but this turned out to be completely wrong: The room was...

I stayed here for 2 nights and was very impressed, I have no complaints. There are tea/coffee facilities in the room, if you run out of tea bags/sugar etc there are cupboards on each floor where you can stock up. It's in the City of London so will be mostly used for business travellers. This was the cheapest hotel I...

Ideal location for the city and Liverpool Street. Automated check in is efficient. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Free wifi. Gym. Gaucho Steakhouse in basement. I like this place and stay here regularly. Beds are comfy. The prices are fair given location. .

Stayed two nights (fri and sat) last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the stay! Nothing was too much hassle and the room was cleaned and serviced properly! Room was clean and the free water on all levels was a brilliant idea! Will definitely be visiting more than one clubquarters on my travels!

Set close to the heart of the City of London this hotel is probably ideal for a business trip and functional for leisure breaks. The room we stayed in was compact but was fine for a weekend. Breakfast was not included although there was a free hot drinks machine in the foyer plus a Weatherspoons pub next door. Transport-wise there...

Was here on a business trip, You're definitely paying for location here - which is not unusual in this city. The location is fantastic. The rooms are just rooms: clean, with your basic necessities - nothing fancy. If you are planning on spending a lot of time in your room/hotel (which makes no sense to me) this is not the...

I am here a week every month for last 1.5 years and this really is a reasonable home in London. Conveniently located to City destinations, close to the tube and busses, walking distance to Bank and St Paul. Excellent Crosse Keys pub next door open on weekends so you can have meals, which is not too often in City. Tons...

I stayed at this property for 30+ days and I loved it there. What i liked the most about this property was it's location, connectivity options with 3 tube stations close by (Momument, Bank and Liverpool Street) and the most their staff. The hotel staff was very friendly, made you feel welcome and were always there to help the best...

As our visit was on the same day of the lord mayors parade ( not informed) we had to wait until the crowds dispersed. Secondly the entrances / reception is oddly designed and the opening leading to the inner building is obstructed by patrons & luggage alike. You also have to deal with only 1 receptionist who asks you to...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
