We stayed here for just one night and totaly loved the ambiance and decor in this delightful hotel. From the second we entered the door we were greeted with a warm welcome and professional service. The room was decorated with Victorian taste but with modern conveniences. The bed was so comfortable and bed linen was clean and of a very...

Great location for Royal albert hall ( just a few mins walk) Old style hotel, with great character. Rooms slighly too small, but you cant change that. My only real negative points. It isnt made very clear that the continental breakfast is inclusive, but you have to pay extra for english breakfast. Also, the toilet in our bathroom was so...

Would recommend a stay at the Gore without hesitation. It is a lovely hotel rich in history. Very close to Kensington, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. It's also an easy walk to the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and other attractions. Enjoy the bar. It's a relaxing atmosphere consistent with the overall atmosphere...

I booked 2 triple rooms at The Gore Hotel for a family get together. From the moment I contacted them, they could not have been more helpful and accomodating. The hotel and the rooms are lovely and the reception staff and concierge were brilliant. We also had afternoon tea which was really good value and as good as we have...

The staff at the hotel was wonderful. Always helpful and willing to do what ever they could to make the visit to the hotel 5 star plus. However the rooms are very small and if you have a couple of suitcases it is hard to move around in the room. Plus the Internet is very slow, to the point where...

Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent hotel; excellent staff and a fantastic location. On arrival we were greeted by the concierge and at reception a very warm welcome awaited. To top it off a complimentary bottle of bubbly in the upgraded (free of charge!) room to mark a special weekend for us! Great place.

Stayed with my husband on a business trip, when visiting The Royal Albert Hall. Stayed in the "Judy Garland Suite" which (whether true or not) was a lovely room, but no real view. Perfect location for the RAH. From check in to check out the service was perfect, attentive without being intrusive. The room was wonderfully spacious, even the sofa bed was comfortable enough for a good nights sleep. Breakfast had plenty of options, service again was fantastic. All in all a perfect treat for a night away.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
