Good value , lovely views , nice walk to Kensington gardens. Room was very spacious and clean. Would recommend good breakfast . Only downside was staff at breakfast were unsmiling and lazy. Asked for a tea, I had to ask again. On the way out I saw him sat chatting to the receptionist! The omelette man was miserable too. The...

Stayed at the Hotel for 4 nights the location of the Hotel is excellent, especially if you are visiting the nearby Museums and shops in Knightsbridge; the staff are friendly and attentive and the adjacent Car Park is a great asset. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the menu looked good with plenty of choice, because we booked executive...

We booked a king sized room . We got a king sized bed - however that was the width of the room. So the person near the bathroom would have to get out of bed so the other can use the bathroom. To make master worse I went to the bar - a glass of wine £15.75. That is significantly...

We stayed here for a night during school half term and fortunately it was just the one night. The hotel is in a good location and very close to Gloucester Road tube station, Museums and 'that' big shop. Breakfast was fairly good value for money, if a bit of a scrum at the hot food counter but the good points...

Might be the ugliest high-rise in town but a very affordable, clean, convenient hotel at Gloucester Road on the Piccadilly line in Kensington. Walk to the V&A museum, lots of shopping and dining, and Kensington Palace.

We are a couple in our mid-60s and well traveled. Have been to Europe on holidays more than 50 times. Stayed at this HI on short notice and booked via TRIVAGO/BOOKING.com IHG says their prices are always the lowest but don't you believe it. We used 2 rooms, 1 twin and one double. The twin was VERY small but adequate....

It's bad decision to stay here again. The location was really good but service from reception was poor. We had a problem upon check in due to the name was not complete and the reception didn't want our passport and documemt to check. However, end up we managed to get a room. Don't even ask for security of this hotel,...

Stayed here for valentines day and to celebrate 30 years together in one of the executive rooms. We requested a high floor,, quiet & end room and that's just what we were given. When we entered our room there was a bottle of bubbly chilling in an ice bucket and a card congratulating us on our anniversary, it was a...

The rooms are fine, a little small. Location is great.....near tube and bus. About a 15 minute walk to Kensington Palace. Safe, clean neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. Staff is nice and helpful!

A quick escape to London toke my husband and I here. First impression should be location.. but I have to say it was the size of the room and everything about the room. Walking to the room and find out that the doors are too close to each other definitely did hurt my eyes. And when we got in the...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
