As to be expected from the Holiday Inn, pleasant but not plush. The rooms were very clean, even though this is a big hotel. We arrived very early ( 9 ish) and went straight to our room. We. Managed to get a good deal to include the exec club, worth it only for the Internet, breakfast was not worth the...

The service has to be among the worst I've seen. I stayed with my brother at this hotel only because our regular hotel in London was full. The hotel is enormous (900 rooms) and inadequately staffed. i tried calling reception/room service for over 20 mins but no one answered. The room was clean and nice. Nothing special. Beds were comfortable...

The hotel is in a good location - nice area near to tube station, shops & resuarants. The reception/lobby is fairly nice too. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to an executive room - I would hate to see the standard rooms! Our room was dark & in poor condition. There was also a feint funny...

This hotel is located in a nice area of London right near the Gloucester Tube Station. Near the hotel there is a Waitrose(grocery store) and quite a few restaurants. The hotel is frequented with quite a few Japanese guests. The rooms are in poor condition although it seems like they were renovated not too long ago. I would recommend staying...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
