Ok, so I paid for an upgraded room, but it was worth it While the decor was a little tired it was clean and comfortable. The club lounge was a nice addition and really not bad. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel was pretty decent. Overall a decent stay in the location I wanted to be. Certainly exceeded my expectations

Stayed for one night on business and had a club room on 12 th floor which was excellent. I like staying here because of the parking and its proximity to the tube. The breakfast is very good and caters for all nationalities .The staff and service is off a high standard and would recommend again. There are plenty of nice...

Staff was friendly, attentive and service-minded. The room (superior double) was large and comfortable, but is not much noise isolation between the rooms. Although very close to the highstreet and the underground station, this hotel is located in a quiet and nice area. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and not particularly charming, but it really works for a comfortable...

Booked hotel on their website & joined the rewards scheme for 10% discount, which matched discount sites. Our Club room on the 11th floor was a good size, bed comfy & bathroom clean with all the amenities. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Kensington High Street Tube station, which makes it about 15 minutes from Oxford Circus. There...

Beware! Run by a Malaysian firm. Managing Director apparently speaks no english we were informed on one of our several trips to complain to the front desk. Massive queues to get in for breakfast. Hotel is only single glazed. Our first room was freezing . Moved rooms 3 times over 2 days. Nothing works as it should, broken loo seats,...

Lovely hotel, has everything you need and is in a perfect location to get around. We ordered room service and the food was delicious, cannot complain about anything apart from we must have been in what could be a joining room and could easily hear the people next door (late in, up early) but apart from that it was a...

Great hotel in good location at reasonable price. Friendly professional staff. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again. Easy access to London's main attractions Close to tube and bus stops. There is also a taxi stand outside the hotel - concierge will happily assist.

If you are picky about hotels this is not the place you would choose. This is a worn hotel. In my room, there was a somewhat funny smell (a mix of old after shave and, perhaps, old smoke or something), and window cannot be opened. The carpet had many stains, the refrigerator kept me more or less awake, and so...

The property is quite dated from outside and needs a refurbishment. However the lobby looks very beautiful and big. WiFi is free but is very slow. Reason to give 5 stars is due to the amazing level of service right from check in. Helpful receptionists and housekeeping staff. Had some issues with heating in the room which was sorted straightaway...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
