What a lovely hotel!! I chose this hotel as a last minute decision in September, and was not disappointed. I booked a Club Room, which was lovely and spacious, and the service was great - Turndowns offered in the evenings, fast service when I required shirts to be pressed, and the club lounge staff were also attentive and helpful when...

Compared to competition in the area and in other big cities around the world this apparent 4 star hotel has tired decor, less than efficient staff, light bulbs not working etc etc. On check in we were suggested to upgrade our room as they 'thought' we would not want the standard room. They were right, it was tiny, tired, musty...

I stayed here for a week for a conference and was a little disappointed in the overall experience; it seems to be a hotel where the owners have decided that the location means that they don't have to try overly hard. First the positives; the hotel has a great location and is close to all manner of hotels, restaurants, bars,...

Stayed here for 6 nights in a recent trip to London. Millenium Mayfair was really all about the location. Located in heart of Mayfair, right next to a number of embassies, it's a mere 5-10 walk to Bond Street subway or 10-15 walk to Green Park subway. Lots of eating and dining options once we neared Oxford Street or Beverly...

It was a short business trip to London. So I needed a hotel between what I came for and attractions. Millennium Hotel got all that! It’s clean. The staff are friendly and it’s near Oxford, Regent, and Bond streets if you want shopping. The Hyde park is few blocks away. You have two underground stations nearby. The closest is Bond...

We stayed here for 5 days in September. On arrival early in the morning we were Lucky that our rooms were ready. However bad views and our room seemed to have a water problem coming from the bathroom as the carpet was soaked. We moved rooms and the second room was bigger and a lot better on the 7 th...

We stayed here for three nights. Our 'club room' and bathroom were surprisingly large, and access to the Club Lounge on the seventh floor for breakfast, a glass of wine, etc., was a huge plus. The staff was quite pleasant. But the rooms are a bit tired, and our view of some ugly part of the physical plant, with no...

We had an appointment at the US Embassy so stayed here mainly because it is across the street. Location was by far the most important factor but we were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The style is all very classic sophistication with the staff to match. The are very polite and efficient but not too over the top. The...

Good points: great location, clean well-appointed rooms, good breakfast Not so good points: over-priced for a mediocre hotel, indifferent service, Wi-Fi poor and not available in all rooms. There are better hotels at more acceptable (London) prices and certainly really good hotels for the same money.

I love this hotels location, the piano bar is vibrant and lively, and the breakfast has a great choice. The worst thing, is the price, as the rooms are in need of a massive overhaul, they are all very tired, especially for its 5* rating and cost per night. But I do love the hotels vibe and the area is...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
