We stayed 4 days late March. It happened to be the day the city was holding the parade .... because Piccadilly bridge or street was closed the taxi driver told us he had to take us another way. It ended up costing us $82 pounds from Heathrow to green park Hilton. Recommended take the shuttle for $15 pounds! Hotel itself...

Stayed here a couple of times, most recently march 2017. The location of this hotel is fantastic, close to the tube, easy walking distance to many attractions. It is clean, the food and drink are great and the staff are friendly. Also it is really quiet there. My only negatives are that I found the bed to be very hard;...

I stay here regularly on business. While the hotel is a bit "tired", the staff is very friendly and accommodating - and the location is outstanding for walking to key locations (Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Sq, etc). Pricing is all over the board, but generally lower than surrounding hotels. One downside: no exercise room. This is not a hoity-...

I visited two days on a business trip. The hotel's location in Mayfair is excellent only two blocks from the Ritz and right off Green Park and subsequently Hyde Park in the City of Westminster. There are many good restaurants very nearby. The staff was most efficient. The room was quite small and awkward in that there were steps down...

Had a recent business trip and decided to explore this property in moderation to my usual choice Hilton Park Lane. Location is perfect for any type of visit to London, weather leisure of business. Check in was fast and efficient. Long corridors. Then the room. Rather cozy and clean although the out of date spirit was haunting the atmosphere. Breakfast...

Comfortable rooms. Great staff. Nice breakfast. Easily within walking distance of all of the tourist sites - palace, parliament, Trafalgar, and the West End. The tube is two blocks away and you can exit the hotel - turn right - walk two blocks through a park and you're at the palace. Shopping or sightseeing - great hotel.

I arrived at 8am after a long trip and was greeted by very pleasant staff. The location was amazing but the room - disappointing. It was at the far end of a hallway, up some stairs and tucked into a corner. The room was dark and tiny (just enough space to walk around the edges of the bed) with and...

My son bought us an afternoon tea experience at this hotel for our anniversary. I have to say we were totally delighted. There was no sense of the place being crowded or busy (although we went early in March so perhaps there just wasn't anyone around!) and it was nicely quiet without being too much like a library. We could...

Hilton by name but most definitely not by nature. Or at least if my past experiences with the Hilton chain are anything to go by... hiding behind the global image of the Hilton brand, unfortunately a number of their spin off hotels by the same name are lacking the carefully marketed 'H' effect. £150 without breakfast is steep by any...

Absolute worst experience as an H Honors rewards member of my Life! The front desk staff were very snotty when they couldn't initially find my reservation. It went downhill from there.. our "room" that was over $200.00 was located directly across from the elevator bank and was the size of a closet. Not to mention the lack of ventilation in...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
