We had been to The Rembrandt once before and as it had been a reasonably good experience, we decided to give it another try as we had received a Special Offer directly from the hotel. On the last visit, we had been very unimpressed with the reception we received when we arrived but this time, we were greeted by a...

A friendly welcome on arriving at 11am, our room was ready, clean with comfortable bed and nice toiletries in the bathroom. Did not use the spa but looked very good. Very close to the museums, bus stops close to hotel so easy to get around. Would stay longer next time in London.

We stayed here for two nights in January, having booked the deal with Secret Escapes. Excellent location, spacious room, clean and modern bathroom, and we had access to the Aquillis spa next door. The breakfast was great - buffet style. Would highly recommend.

I stayed at The Rembrandt for 13 nights from December 16-29, 2013 and loved it: (1) Although my [tastefully decorated, typically British] room was on the front of the hotel facing the Victoria & Albert Museum, there was no street noise or harsh light. (2) The hotel feels safe, because you use the room key card to operate the elevators,...

Per the recommendation of my Dad who stayed here years ago, I figured I'd give it a try. I had previously stayed at the cozy Aster House B&B in the same neighborhood. However, my husband prefers a more traditional hotel experience. A short 5 minute walk to South Kensington and Knightsbridge (near Harrods) tube stops, and across from the beautiful...

This hotel is very well situated and so long as you get a deal very reasonably priced. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I did not try the main restaurant but the bar served well cooked, reasonably priced food for lunch accompanied by very drinkable wine. The room was of a very good standard, with a very large bed, full...

Having lived in London for 5 years, I was very nervous about booking such a hotel. I knew that the location was excellent, but often find such an ideally located hotel to disappoint in other areas and have to say The Rembrandt didn't disappoint. The location really is superb, but of course is a large portion of what you are...

We booked this on a deal through (I think) the Daily Telegraph. It stated 70% off the room rate of £ 500. I do think this isn't quite true as our room (and most of the others) were priced a lot lower than that. It isn't the hotel misleading people it's the offer people. Anyway, that's not important as the...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
