Stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised how good it was after reading some very poor reviews. On checking in the receptionist Madu was really helpful and friendly and we were allocated a twin room on the second floor . The room was clean and comfortable with two queen size beds, tea and coffee making facilities, a huge TV, and... More

Arrived on Monday for a 2 day stay with my daughter for a concert. Close to tube station so easy access to any part of London. Clean hotel but very basic but all you need in London really. Breakfast very basic too and limited choice

Stayed here during a quick trip to London and really enjoyed it. Location wise it's close to Bayswater underground and not much of a walk to Portabello Road, Notting Hill etc. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful, all that i require from a hotel room. The breakfast was ok, not much choice and... More

Not a pleasant stay. The lobby looks ok having recently been refurbished. The rest of the experience was unpleasant. The staff were disinterested and not very helpful. Our room was pretty basic even though it was apparently one of the refurbished ones-to be fair it was clean- calling it a double was optimistic with the space available very limited. The... More

I booked a twin through Superbreak. Closer to the time was really concerned by the bad reviews, considering how much it's slated I was really impressed. Very polite welcome, and quiet location. We had a room on the 4th floor, which yes the bedroom is tiny, scrap the big desk chair n just put a stool in, and by the... More

This hotel should have been advertised as basic or budget by Superbreak ... the double room was extremely small and poky, 4th floor, shabby carpets, half a wardrobe - would suit contractor or bed for the night on way to airport. The breakfast was good however.

Having read some of the other reviews about this hotel it does make me wonder what people expect of a budget hotel in central London!!! You cant expect Dorchester standards for less than £100 per night (we actually got a deal at £60 a night). The hotel is very easy to get to and literally a 5 minute walk to... More

Bayswater inn is more of a b&b than hotel to us, I know it is has a 3 star rating but the room is small and if you are well built then forget using the shower as we could only just get in, no plug in sink and reported it on 1st day and as yet one has not appeared.... More

There was 6 of us traveling from Sheffield. It was my sisters birthday. I wanted to surprise her on her birthday as we were staying at this hotel from Fri-Sun. I would say calling them experience wasn't great as I had to email them and call few times to arrange a cake and cup cakes. However when got there around... More

Having been allocated this Hotel as part of a Rail/ Theatre Show/ Accommodation package, we had no decision in choosing this Hotel I (I use the term ' Hotel ' generically of course) Firstly, we were shocked, when asked for a Room Deposit of £20, which also accompanied a promise of Automatic Return within 5 days, which despite 17 telephone... Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
