This hotel is good for basic needs. It is old and the staff is not very friendly. If you need somewhere cheap to eat and sleep then this is good, but if you're on a vacation and want it to feel a little nice, this is not the place for it. The only good thing about this place is the...

Our stay last week was a pleasant surprise since we expected little having read some reviews about this hotel. The twin room was big enough to keep luggage and get about. The bathroom had clean towels etc. There was a hairdryer and tea making facilities too. The breakfast buffet with continental and cooked food was good and the service attentive....

I was really disappointed with this hotel and would definately not recommend it. The room was large, but vey tatty with holes in the walls and skirting board. Everywhere was grimy, the windows were so dirty that you could hardly see out of them. There was no lock on the inside of the door as it had broken off. None...

To be honest, for what we paid (£28 per night) for a London hotel this is great! Fantastic location, 15 mins tube ride to the centre, 15 mins walk to Hyde Park, 5 mins walk to the nearest tube station, nice little town and pubs near by 5 mins walk. The rooms are very basic and dated, however if this...

Some friends and I ordered a room with 4 single beds, however we got a twin and two singles. After the first night, they changed it 3 single beds and one children size bed, (all adults), so we were not happy. Breakfast were bad, but okay considering the value-for-money factor. However, the location were great! 5 mins walk to 2...

Stayed in Bayswater Inn with my partner in Nov 11 and for £49 inc breakfast was worth it. The room was dated, but, London hotels are so expensive and this was half the price of any others so I was expecting a dive, but it wasn't that bad! The tube was a two minute walk away, and Paddington station was...

Good location for local shops, restaurants, underground and buses. Near to Hyde park and kensington gardens. The hotel room looked tired and dated. Beds were uncomfortable, shower room very small. I would have preferred crockery rather than plastic cups in the room. Some of the staff were not very friendly and looked miserable. Breakfast was not worth getting up for,...

We were a group of 15 people who stayed at this hotel and I will not claim that this was anything more than an OK hotel. When we stayed here in January, it was freezing cold in the rooms and the showers were not warm either. Breakfast was very average, nothing special as tempted, but the quality of what was...

Breakfast should have you water your mouth, not your eyes - a receptionist trying to convince you that obvious deficits of the 'hotel' were caused by you - and last not least, only plug in to shave if you intend to [---] yourself.......

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
