Hotel needs completely updating- new carpets all round as everywhere they were threadbear and dirty. The interior walls all need a lick of paint, the hotel itself could be beautiful!
The views from the breakfast restaurant (Jenny's) are beautiful, looking out over the Thames.

we got the train from Gatwick into Victoria station then connect with the underground tube (subway) to canary wharf. you can ask one of the staff at the train station Ibericos Gatwick if you need assistance. they are very helpful. They also provide free underground maps.
train is about 30/40 mins and underground in about 10/15 mins journey.
