The hotel was in a nice location and so close to the tube and other great locations. The room was clean, but was smaller than I expected. Take a look at the breakfast before paying. I found it very limited and a trip to a local restaurant or bakery might be better. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would...

A perfectly placed hotel for museums, the Albert Hall and many other attractions. A modern reception and a happy and helpful greeting. The room we had - a twin - was on level 5 (the ground floor being level 2) It was a well appointed room with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room is quite small but...

We arrived in majestic Kensington to celebrate our daughters 18th. We couldn't believe our luck. Kensington is fabulous. And so strategically located regarded museums tube the palace etc. Our hotel Eden plaza was in an excellent location close to the tube, with access to numerous beautiful coffee shops, tea rooms, restaurants shops to meet our needs if necessary. Our room...

We stayed in room 202 which is on the ground floor and which we found to be excellent and very quiet with plenty of space. Although there were toilets that served the lounge area next to the room, the noise from them was minimal. We were attending the Royal Albert Hall and wanting to visit the local museums so this...

No frills and just enough room for a single bed and a shower room. The room overlooked the Natural History Museum and was perfect for my one night stay. As this was an older building, it made a nice change to be able to open a window. As you would expect being in the city there was a fair bit...

The WORST place ever !!! Ive stayed in numerous hotels and this has by far been the worst. From the start, unhelpful staff, dirty rooms and overall bad experience, we actually looked at moving to neighboring hotels. Would not recommend this hotel, plenty of quality hotels near by

Very small rooms and bathroom. Great for a single person. Not a couple. Actually I was uncomfortable. Great location. 10 minutes from the subway. I got a twin room. The bed was very small and narrow. Breakfast was good. Staff was not very helpful at the restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night as we were attending the Royal Albert Hall. After reading some of the reviews I didn't quite know what to expect. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff. We arrived a little early and the hotel stored our luggage whilst we went off. We stayed in a double room...

Very good locatian, close to the tube, restaurants etc. Small room where you can hear other people. The staff working in reception are very quiet - not welcoming the quest. The breakfast is avarage - not worth money you spend on it.

Excellent location and very near Natural History, Science and Victoria and Albert Museums. Our room was clean with ample towels and complimentary tea/coffee. We did not eat breakfast but this was offered at £7.50 per person. Unfortunately our double room was the smallest double room I have ever stayed in and as the double bed is right up against the...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
