The people were nice enough but wouldn't say they went above and beyond , the room however , well thought I stumbled in to a cupboard with the size or it . Very clean tho . Great location. For the Albert hall and natural history museum just across the road

The room sizes get a hammering in some reviews. Ours, a double, was small, but space was ingeniously used. clean and up to the standard expected - safe, TV, tea/coffee maker (resupply at reception not a problem). The bathroom had a bath, but no plug - showers only is the rule 'due to overflow problems' we were told - economy...

Good enough place but there are probably better options. Unreliable wifi and tiny rooms but nothing really terribly wrong and definitely clean. I guess for London there was some good value there. Fantastic shower made up for any shortcomings. 15 minute walk to Royal Albert Hall.

our room was 6 x 6 foot it was smaller than a double room in a caravan. because the room was so small you ran out of oxygen but the window was so high you couldn't open it, no ventilation in the bathroom and been 5ft tall it was a nightmare trying to reach the towels that where on a...

The room was small but we did ok. It is close to the Kensington station. The Science museum is across the street and Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace is within walking distance. The area is in a safe location. Our room faced the street at nite it was quiet but around 6am you would wake-up as you could hear...

Fantastic stay in this hotel! It was exactly what we needed for our city break. We stayed for three nights from 12th December at £79 per night. If you are looking for a luxuary hotel then this is not the hotel. However, if you are looking for somewhere to use as a base just for sleeping and washing at a...

I stayed for 5 nights in this hotel in a very nice area of London which is located about a 3 minute walk from Gloucester Rd tube station and about 5 minutes from South Kensington tube station. The hotel is on the corner of an intersection with the Natural History Museum diagonally opposite. Harrods, Victoria and Albert museum and the...

We stayed at this hotel for the price only £79 for night which was great for the location, from here we walked to Harrods, Hyde Park and Oxford Street although coming back we did catch the tube as the old legs were aching. Rooms were very small as we had already seen on here (don't think our double was 4"3...

Room was recently decorated, new beds and furnishings, new bathroom. For the location, the room rate was excellent value. There was noise from the busy road outside, but this is what you expect in Central London.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights from Nov 5th to 10th. The room with a double bed was small but adequate with nice bathroom/shower and desk space. The location is without any doubt, excellent - close to buses, underground train, and museums. The check in was quick, and the staff was very friendly and courteous. They gave us...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
