Was a holiday Inn now rebranded to a crowne plaza and rooms and hotel have been recently refurbished. Thanks for the upgrade to executive room for being ihg club member. In executive room you get free bottles of water and a bottle of orange juice. Hotel was central taxi only took ten minutes from the station. Not the fault of...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I stayed in a 4th floor two-bedded family room. It was spacious, well equipped with all the extras you would expect such as luxury bath and shower gel, bottled water, hairdryer, a flat screen television, and a spacious fridge which was not a 'mini-bar'. The beds were extremely comfortable with fluffy pillows and an excellent rain-style shower was in the...

If I was just rating the hotel it would rate higher. I had a lovely room with well appointed bathroom. The staff were courtious and everything was clean. The problem is with the hotel calling itself 'Kings Cross'. It took 10-15 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel and the wheels of my suitcase were challenged by London...

I arrived after 11pm (following a business dinner) to be greeted by aggressive disco music - I almost walked straight out again. Fortunately the music was not audible in the room, which was a reasonable size with comfortable bed and good shower. But the air con was noisy and inefficient and the desk was shabby. Breakfast was good (fresh-cooked omelette...

This is a very good hotel just ten minutes walk from Kings Cross / St Pancras rail stations, and very handy for the tube with Russell Square and Kings Cross both just ten minutes walk. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and always polite. We didn't try out the spa or swimming pool so...

This former Holiday Inn is on its way to being a Crowne Plaza but is still work in progress. Rooms are improved but smaller than most CP rooms but have decent modernised bathrooms with sizeable walk in showers. Breakfasts are standard fare and good enough. The bar come restaurant struggled to serve beers the night before in an efficient and...

We stayed for 1night. Hotel is 3 stops away by bus from Kings Cross station. Rooms were tidy, clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and gave a good briefing on the facilities. Breakfast was the not so bright spot as the quality of the food was nothing special (no live cooking station, no fresh juices- concentrate only)....

Very happy to have come across this hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet area of town, and a very short walking distance from the train station. The rooms are very comfortable and surprisingly spacious for a London hotel. I wish I stayed here the entire trip. I will be sure to book this for future trips to London....

My husband and I had booked a hotel using our Avios Points and were expecting The Holiday Inn. We arrived late on a Monday evening with a taxi driver explaining that the hotel was in the process of being refurbished. Check-In was painless. On arriving at our room we were astounded. It was wonderful. The shower was one of the...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
