I stayed at the Kensington Close Hotel a couple of days ago as I was attending the event in Mayfair and this wasn't too far. From the outside the hotel looks very dingy and as I approached I was a little concerned looking at some of the windows but when I got into reception my opinion changed. The room including...

This hotel is in a great location. I was traveling with my daughter and booked a superior twin. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. However, generosity is not in the managements vocabulary. There are no extra pillows, no extra blankets and only two teabags provided. The bathroom was extremely small and badly designed. The toilet was wedged...

This hotel looks amazing from the front and the lobby area is impressive. We were given a complimentary upgrade to an executive double room when we arrived. We also had to pay a £100 deposit incase of any damage. We were not aware of this, found it extremley strange. We have never had to do this before in other hotels....

My daughter booked us both in this hotel for 2 nights as part of my birthday present to London. All I can say is that it's out of this world. My daughter is disabled and currently has to use a wheelchair and we come across issues every day so thought it was going to be a little bit of a...

We have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions over the years and yes some rooms are small but it has to be said adequate and clean There are all sizes of rooms available and like everything else you get what you pay for The situation and the friendly and professional staff more than make up for any room size...

Me and my husband stayed here only for a night. I was impressed with the lovely looking lobby and their friendly staff. Reason why I gave an average rating is because of the bathroom. The toilet itself was located in such a cramped narrow lane. Let's put it this way, if my parent in laws were to stay in this...

The downstairs, lobby/foyer in the sub floor was very spacious and nicely set out but I can't say the same for our room. We had no where to put our bags, thank goodness it was only one night. I heard someone say that this is the normal for London but we stayed at the Novotel in Hammersmith and we had...

Stayed here on a business trip. The lobby, restaurant and conference areas are modern, spacious and comfortable. The food is very good. The breakfast has a good range of cereals and cooked breakfast etc and the lunches served with the conference were very tasty with a choice of vegetarian, meat and fish dish. The staff were all attentive and courteous....

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
