Following several experiences in different hotel, I have finally found this one that displays a very good standard on all the key criteria that are important to make a stay very pleasant. I love the spa with stuff like Alma, which is always trying to accommodate your requests; I am happy with the kindness from Valentin at the reception, a...

Great location, close to train station and short walk to Kensington gardens. Rooms small but sufficient for our needs, as we were out and about for the majority of our stay due to room being clean it satisfied our needs. Hotel bar was great atmosphere but rather expensive. Staff were more friendly at bar, hotel reception weren't very welcoming not...

Clean and modern hotel, some rooms a bit small but I still stay here regular for business when in London. Lovely breakfast too! Lots of nice places to eat nearby within walking distance. Hotel easy to get from tube station.

As a flight attendant for a major airline I unfortunately have occasion to stay at this hotel. Some of the rooms are so small I can't believe they get away with selling them. The staff has a hard time smiling and automatically scales down its service when they see the airline uniform. Our company books many rooms per night but...

Visited here for the first time, I was greeted at the door by the doorman, dressed in top hat and tails, giving you an immediate impression of what you can expect, or so I thought. The room was tiny, no space to move about, much smaller than a travel lodge room. The wardrobe wasn't even big enough to hang my...

Journeyed to London from The Midlands for some sightseeing and Field Day at Victoria Park. The hotel is good on the eyes and the staff are very helpful. Whilst it is in Kensington and gives the impression of a high class establishment, you shouldn't feel obligated to be on your social-guard at all times. Positives: - Nice, clean room with...

The hotel is a very short walk away from Kensington high street tube station, therefore making it easy to get to anywhere in London. The staff were lovely and even put my phone on charge for me after leaving it at the hotel bar. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfy, however, the rooms are small. unfortunately...

My partner stayed here for one night. Very very poor. Staff uninterested in everything. No smiles no eye contact. Room 477 smelt of a urinal and when this was mentioned to staff. No response. Room very tired, breakfast not worth it. Would not recommend this. For a business in the hotel trade. How wrong can you get this.

Everything in the room was clean and the bed was comfy, apart from the pillows, 2 was too big 1 wasn't enough, just personal preference on that though. I feel that where the toilet was located was very narrow and if you had someone of a larger size, like my friend was, then it was awkward for him to use...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
