The hotel is in a great location a few minutes walk from Kensington High St station but on a quiet road. The rooms are small but more than adequate, very clean with a good sized bathroom. We were on the 6th floor which was very quiet traffic wise and with no noise from other guests. We used the spa which...

Upon arriving at this hotel, we were greeted with a young man guiding people to where they needed to be. Everything from the outside of the hotel to the inside looked amazing, and we knew we booked this hotel for a reason. Approaching the desk we checked in, nice swift and informative check in service. What happened next is why...

Just returned after a weekend in London and stopping for two nights at the Kensington Close Hotel. Booked the room on the Friday morning direct with the hotel. Booked the executive room on what I thought was an excellent deal which it proved to be with breakfasts and wifi included. The booking process was so straightforward and dealt with so...

Visited this weekend, as a couple, on a rare weekend away to London. It is in a great location, only a few minutes walk away from Kensington High Street Station. The hotel does have its own parking on site, although not cheap! We arrived on a Friday afternoon, and were greeted by friendly doormen, who carried our bags to the...

The rooms are ok. Wifi is expensive. Our first night was on the first floor, which was very noisy from the spa area below us. We could here people talking in the jucuzzi. We got another room the next nights, no problem with noise there. The spa area is not very hygienic or sanitary. With people from all cultures visiting,...

Me and my boyfriend went to this hotel for 3 nights for a weekend break.. Room was lovely, clean and modern but the shower which was supposed to be a power shower and was quite weak but not a problem as everything else was perfect. We had a nice welcoming when we first arrived where the man at the door...

I booked this hotel through lastminute.com. The illustrations showed very attractive rooms with masses of space. What I ended up with was the antithesis of the illustration. It was booked as a double but would have been impossible for a couple. There was no space between the double bed and the outside wall. The room had obviously been modified to...

A little midweek break to get away from it all and we couldn't have chosen better, for accommodation and location. 3 minute walk to the tube station and a great spot to enjoy dandering about and getting a coffee. Close proximity to Kensington Palace and Portobello Road too, brilliant. The hotel is plush, staff are excellent and the professionalism permeates...

Nice and well presented hotel. However booked a double room. Bed was smaller than a normal double bed and one of us had to climb across it to get in as it was tight against a wall!! If using the bar check prices as even for London prices these were very expensive.

Stayed last night at a conference. Facilities were very good, however leisure club was £8 for a swim! Wifi was extra in rooms. Rooms were small and chilly. Bed was not comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functional. No iron in room to prepare next day's shirt. Tv was basic channels. The bar was nice, quite busy around 7PM. The reception...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
