We arrived and were met by Almu at reception. She very kindly upgraded us to an executive suite with a kitchen. The room was on the 7th floor and directly overlooks the Tower Gateway DLR station.
There are hand sanitisers everywhere and the reception is protected with screens.
The room has a separate bedroom and kitchen/lounge area. Bathroom has a shower in with a great shower head and plenty of power.
Kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, microwave, fridge and a washing machine. The standard coffee pod machine and a hob as well.
There is a small selection of crockery and utensils.
Due to covid there is no breakfast so its delivered to your room in a paper bag. Sandwich, croissant, danish pastry, cereal, milk, fruit and some juice. There is housekeeping but only once every 5 days, but if you need anything you can just call reception and they will organise it for you.
The location is perfect for exploring the area and also for jumping onto the DLR, Tube (Tower Hill) and overground (Fenchurch Street).
They are also offering a special rate to NHS workers but you have to email the hotel directly for this.

This made my stay in London absolutely fabulous!! This is a brand new hotel in a very posh business district of London (Tower Hill), 5min away from the Tower of London, it's a nice, safe anD clean area with the train station just a 2 minute walk away, CO-OP supermarket on the next block and 2 Tesco express supermarkets within 10mins walking distance. It was also 5-10min walk from all my gyms like 1Rebel, Victus Soul, Hybrid Fitness, Ten Pilates , etc.
Rooms were spacious, modern with a big bathroom and balcony type window you can open to let the fresh air in! Room was equipped with its own washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, induction cooker with complete cutlery, dishware and cookware. 1 TV in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. The hotel has its own in house bar and restaurant with room service.
The service was absolutely excellent too!! I can't wait to stay here again and would buy a unit here if it were for sale!! 🥰

We have just returned from 3 wonderful nights at this fabulous hotel. It is brand new and even smells new. We were greeted on arrival by a friendly concierge and a lovely gentleman on reception who offered us a welcome drink and checked us in very efficiently.
We couldn't believe how beautiful the room was when we entered it. We had room 440 and it had the most amazing view of the Tower of London and the Shard etc. It was so spacious and luxurious, with a HUGE really comfy bed, kitchenette area, seating area and table, coffee maker, stacks of storage and great dressing table area. The designers have really thought of everything in this room, with so much storage and lovely lighting (which is a bit complicated as there are so many lights!) and an amazing bathroom with a fancy, gorgeous shower. There are lots of little luxuries which are also a real treat such as good quality dressing gowns and slippers, massive fluffy towels (oh the towels!❤️), a vast array of toiletries in wheat straw packaging or cardboard (loved this eco friendly idea), glass bottles of water and fancy teas and biscuits. We even got left some beautiful desserts in the fridge since it was my birthday!
The breakfast was great, with a good selection. I particularly liked the fresh fruit, cakes/pastries, fancy breads and juices. There is also fried breakfast available but be warned, if you go down late, the breakfast isn't replenished, which could easily be done. I also think a veggie option such as vegetarian sausage would be nice. I was served a nice poached egg when I asked for a veggie option but I think perhaps a menu with a few foods cooked to order would make breakfast even better as it wasn't clear what the chef could offer. I am certain that these tiny points at breakfast will be rectified with time as staff seem so keen to get everything just right at this hotel.
Location wise-this hotel is just perfect, in a slightly more chilled area of London but right next to the Tower Hill tube station. I read a couple of reviews which said you can hear the tube but we didn't hear any noise whatsoever during our stay as it was so quiet and we slept really well, particularly with the blackout curtains.
We really did love this hotel and didn't want to leave. We cannot wait to return to this absolute gem - thank you!

Myself and husband stayed here for 2 nights. On arriving we were so happy, the hotel was literally a minutes walk from Tower Hill tube which was great as it was 10pm. Check in was easy and staff friendly. First impressions of the room was it looked amazing, very large for a London hotel and looked stylish, although we were disappointed with the view, we were told it was a city view which was a view of a car park and the neighbouring hotel.
The kitchen area had a washing machine, dishwasher, sink and hob. I did find it strange that they didn't supply and cloths, tea towels or washing up liquid.
Upon looking closely we noticed that it wasn't very clean, there were brown tea/coffee stains in the mugs and disgusting looking stains on the bed cushion (See pic). As it was so late we didn't complain. I put the cushion on the floor and went to bed. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have every tried to sleep on, even with a mattress topper it was like sleeping on wooden planks and we ended up tossing and turning every ten minutes as we were getting dead arms and legs!!
Next morning after we had showered in quite possibly the worst shower ever, the ceiling shower head was little more than a dribble, we had to use the side shower head, which was only slightly better.
We went for breakfast, when booking we paid extra for a "good breakfast" which was an average continental breakfast, we were told we could upgrade to a full English for an extra £7.50 each having already paid £30 I thought this was a rip off.
We went for a walk, location is amazing, right opposite The Tower of London and so many options for public transport that you are spoilt for choice.
When arriving back at our room we found that the cleaners had been, they had put the dirty cushion back on the bed and taken our towels. After the long day we had we wanted to freshen up with a shower, I went to reception and told them what had happened, the gentleman apologised and said he would send some towels straight up to our room. My husband was already in the shower and he had to use the bath robe. After 2.5 hours waiting he went down to complain, they did then send the towels up.
I don't feel that this hotel is worthy of the 5* rating that it is given, the thick dust on the restaurant blinds, the dirty bed cushions and having to pretty much demand towels is not something you would expect from a 5* establishment, which is a shame as the location and size of the rooms are amazing. The hotel has potential. It would have been nice to have a room service menu in the room and some cleaning equipment to clean the coffee mugs.
Overall I wouldn't recommend staying at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid unless you want to wake up with a bad back from the terrible mattress.

The Tower Suites have been designed with every type of traveller in mind and are staffed by skilled professionals who will do everything they can to ensure you have a great stay.
I stayed at the Hotel for a working week during lockdown and was very impressed by the experience. Firstly the rooms are very well designed. I stayed in a Suite and there was ample work space with a perfectly stocked kitchen area. The bedroom area was very comfortable and the lighting design and curtains enable you to fully blackout the room at night. There were two flat screen TVs, perfectly positioned, one in the Lounge area and one in the Bedroom. The rooms and Hotel in general were quiet.
The Hotel itself is positioned right by Tower Gateway station and a short walk to the heart of the City itself - but if perfectly situated for anyone who wants to spend time at the Tower of London as some rooms overlook the Tower directly. Tower Hill tube station is two minutes away - so you can tube it from Heathrow directly to the Hotel if you wanted - and a cab rank is opposite.
The staff were very friendly, capable and keen to help in anyway they could. A big emphasis was put on cleanliness during the lockdown which I thought the Hotel management handled very well. Mette and her team were always on hand if I had a question or needed anything at all.
All round this was a great experience for me during a stressful time in my life and I would recommend the Tower Suites to any form of travellers, families coming to see the sights of Tower Hill, business people who want access to the City and Canary Wharf and anyone else who appreciated great service and a restful stay. M.

My husband and I stayed here for one night, using the NHS discount they offer which was a lovely treat for us after our covid-19 wedding and working nonstop in the hospital throughout the pandemic.
Upon arrival, hand sanitation was at the entrance and there were markings on the floor to keep the distance from other people. The check-in was smooth and we showed our NHS as proof for the discount. As we were handed our room key we were informed that we had been upgraded which we were both surprised as we have stayed at many hotels and never had a free upgrade, so this definitely started our night off well.
We stayed in room 314 on the 3rd floor, the room was a Superior Suite. As we walked down the hall way the room numbers were lit up, we tapped our key card on the side of the door to open. This feature also has a doorbell which my husband enjoyed (it's the small things).
As you walk into the suite there is a hallway. With full body mirrors with lights behind them that light up as you walk along.
In the first door on the left was the bathroom, fully renovated, tiled and very clean. In the bathroom was towels and hand towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and body lotion. There were also extra amenities in the cupboard. The shower was large enough for two people to fit and had two shower heads. One on the ceiling and a handheld shower head on the wall. A large mirror on the wall as well as a magnefied mirror.
After the bathroom there were two separate sliding doors that led to the bedroom and the biggest bed I've seen in a hotel so far.
In the bedroom were two fitted wardrobes and a dressing table in the middle with mirror and a chair. Inside the wardrobes were hangers and an iron and ironing board. On the other side were two full body mirrors. There were bedside tables on each side with a light and reading light. In front of the bed was a TV. USB sockets.
Through the bedroom you could see the living area. Which consisted of a sofa, table, TV and kitchenette. The living area was provided with bottles water, teas and coffee. There was a fridge freezer and microwave.
The suite has been sound proofed and also has aircon and heating facilities.
The closest station is Tower Gateway which runs on the DLR line service of Tfl. The hotel is very close to Tower Bridge and Tower of London two top London attractions and is also close by to a variety of different restaurants and bars.
I don't have a negative thing to say about this hotel. It was a great way to relax after a busy couple of months working in a hospital and a treat from our wedding.

Came here for a one night birthday treat, and what a treat it was too.
When we arrived we was greeted by a very well mannered and emaculate dressed young man called Fergus . He made us feel special as soon as we arrived . He showed us to our room and what an amazing one it was . We were in room 625 and had spectacular views of tower of London . To our surprise Fergus had ungraded us as it was my birthday !!. The room was absolutely amazing , spotlessly clean , amazing bed and beautiful white crisp linen . We had our dressing gown and slippers , and the bathroom was packed with everything you would need for a night away .
Breakfast was lovely with a full range of cereals , cold meat, cheeses ,hot English breakfast , coffee of your choice and a full range of delicious juices.
The staff were very welcoming and again emaculatly dressed. I must say to the management ,you have an amazing team and should be very proud!!. Thank-you for a wonderful stay , and we will be back !.

My partner and I visited as she works for the NHS and we were offered a complimentary night stay and 50% off additional nights. When booking we were told no more free rooms were available but we could still book with 50% off. We did so but it was a shame, still we were looking forward to some luxury relaxation. We were mostly impressed with the room however not everything was included as we had seen, no bathrobes or earplugs. The safe was not big enough for a laptop but the worst thing was the shower. It was so blocked up with limescale that the water came out of the side of the grating. I cleaned a bit so we could shower and then informed reception of the issue and I was assured that it would be cleaned thoroughly the next day. When we got back from our day out it was clear no one had been in the room, nevermind cleaned the shower. I talked to reception again and they did offer us a room switch but it was late on our last night and I said there was no point. I was just disappointed and expected more from a five star hotel.

Dear Kit, Thank you for your review. We have provided approximately 4,000 complimentary nights to NHS workers and are extremely grateful to you and all those who work in the NHS. I am sorry that you had problems with the shower - I understand that the shower head is fixed although there is also a hand held shower available too. Following your complaint we have implemented more frequent attention to all shower heads by the maintenance team - London tap water is known to be some of the best and safest water to drink in the world, but it is"hard" caused by the geology of London and surrounding Kent which have high levels of chalk and limestone. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. With kind regards, Blue Orchid team

We stayed here for 2 nights having picked the location specifically for the Tower of London and the Shard.
Not only is it over the road from the Tower of London, its about 15 - 20 minute walk to the Shard. Tower Hill Underground Station is just round the corner, Tower Gateway DLR Station is over the room and the hotel overlooks London Fenchurch Street National Rail Station.
Upon arrival we were quickly checked in and directed to our room. On the door was a seal to say the room had been disinfected which snapped when the door opened. This was reassuring. Upon entering the room the first thing that struck us was the view of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Shard. It was fantastic.
The room was capacious, clean, tidy and modern. There was a sink, kettle and Nespresso machine and mini fridge beside the bed. On the wall at the end of the bed was a large TV which allowed for digital TV, plus some extra Sky channels and screen mirroring.
The bathroom contained a large rainfall shower, toilet and sink.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and did their upmost to make sure everything exceeded our expectations.
The continental breakfast buffet was OK. The selection consisted of some meat, pastries, fruit, tea and coffee and juices.
There was a cooked breakfast option at an additional cost which we opted not to take.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Yes I would say so but the staff are so helpful if you asked for an additional fold out bed I’m sure they would help
Yes you need the key card to operate the lift, you can always ask for one for each person?
Have fun 🤩
