I stayed at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on business, especially as the hotel was a few short blocks from my London office. Just across from Hyde Park and down the street from Marble Arch, this is undoubtedlyone of my favourite hotels in London. The rooms are ample and spacious, the beds are delightfully comfortable, and the concierge service is...

It's always amazing how poorly hotels treat their most loyal guests (lifetime Platinum) and i had the worst service I have ever had at this hotel two stays now in a row. This IS NOT a business hotel. If you are looking to be able to have a late checkout to handle business calls, this is not the hotel for...

Thank you for sharing your observations with us from your most recent visit. I am deeply sorry for the fact that we were unable to accommodate your request for a late check out. I now from personal experience how important it is to have a few more hours in a room when you travel for business; or for that matter...

I stayed here using my Marriott points with my wife in February 2015 for a late birthday celebration. Other than the executive lounge, which has been recently refurbished and looks very stylish and trendy, the rest of the hotel looks tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. I had booked an executive room but I had to ask for slippers,...

Attending a black-tie function of this size carries the risk that the food will be average and the service impersonal - not so. Congratulations to all concerned for an excellent night. Food quality very high, drinks easily obtained, customer service first class.

We spent few days at Grosvenor House. It was our first time in London and everybody took good care of us. Outstanding service, Claudia at the reception was lovely and gave us an amazing room. Jesus and Giacomo at the executive lounge were really friendly, we enjoyed very much our breakfast there. Athina at the JW Steak House gave us...

Over the years I've worked on a number of events at the Grosvenor, and I've attended a few too. So whilst looking around for a hotel in London to stay at whilst attending another event at the Grosvenor I decided to stay in the hotel itself. This is a fairly pricey hotel, but it is also a pretty good one...

Came for an awards dinner, service was very good, would agree portions are small but with 100 plus tables food was excellent quality could just have wished for just a little more. Handmade chocolates were excellent. Everyone loved the apple dessert.

This London icon has successfully missed out on the wave of modernization that has swept through the city in the past 15 years. It feels like a sad country home with layers of curtains, crusty corridors, soft/lumpy beds, creaking elevators etc. It is time for management to pony up some cash and move this thing forward. They have upgraded the...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay here with us at Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel. I appreciate your comments and understand that our quintessentially British design may not be to everyone's taste. However, we are in the process of upgrading all of our suites, with our guest rooms, public areas (including...

went to an awards dinner in the main big room. well laid out, service is efficient and good. quite hard to get a bottle of wine ordered, and food portions were small. overall a decent function space, but needs a little more 'magic' to make it great.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
