I stayed here earlier in the month after a Friday night out in London. As I was travelling from Liverpool Street and going home via Fenchurch Street, this hotel was the perfect choice. Tower Hill is a few minutes away, with Fenchurch Street just a few paces in the other direction. I was in a bit of a rush when... More

Stayed for one night and found the rooms really good size for London. Modern and functional. Receptionist on arrival wasn't very friendly but improved service improved at check out. Ended up having dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was good however the service was really slow. I would stay again.

We stayed here in a family room as we prefer the quieter location of the City even though we were visiting Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We arrived around midday and were able to store our bags with the hotel so we could head off for the day. Right next door to Tower Hill so easy access to West End.... More

I stayed here with a friend whilst on a trip to London. I had booked a family room with a sofa bed and put a request for the sofa bed to be made up for us. Upon arrival at after 3pm the room wasn't ready when we arrived despite it being past check in time. This was a little frustrating.... More

On arrival the receptionist wasn't very forth coming with information. Literally just handed me my key card. Didn't care to point me in the direction of the lift or say my room number. She could have been a lot more welcoming. When I got to my room which was level 4, I was pleasantly surprised by the good size. I... More

My classic place to stay when I am in London. Location is just great and it's close basically to everywhere. I did't have room with good view but that's ok because i don't want to spend day at the room. Its bit expensive but worth it.

The hotel is located in the Square Mile near the Tower of London. It's fairly quiet in the evenings, which is no bad thing if you want a good night's sleep. The hotel is near Tower Hill Tube Station (Circle and District lines) and Tower Gateway DLR, but check for maintenance work as it's more of a walk to other... More

I highly recommend this hotel in terms of location and accommodation. Situated 3' minutes walking from the Tower Bridge, in a calm, central and elegant area, this hotel is very close to two different underground stations, namely Aldgate and Tower Hill, easily reachable from numerous points of London. Another valuable point the hotel offers is breakfast. I've travelled all around... More

My room was quite old. My neighbour got stuck and they came at 7am so she could go out through my room. I thought it was too expensive for the quality of the hotel and the amenities. Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
