Sadly a dissappointing stay and no way of getting room service for drinks and food. Very expensive stay for what might have been better for £5 pounds more to go across the road to the Mint hotel or for alittle bit more the grange. Novotel is not a 4 star hotel, it just in a 4 star location. Stay some...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Tripadvisor. I was disappointed to read that we were not able to meet with your expectations. We do offer a 24 hour menu, which consists of hot food and beverages and our 4 star rating is an official certification from an internationally recognised institution based on our...

I am on a business trip to the UK and I am shocked that I can't understand anything the front desk is saying and vise versus. For a country that King's English is perfected it is more than frustrating to have hotel staff that can't communicate. I could not get the staff to help me find a place to eat...

My husband and I have stayed here on several occassions, its really lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and very comfy beds which is what I have come to expect from Novotel. I loved the layout of the room, I was able to have a soak in the bath with a glass of wine whilst watching Strictly come dancing on the...

Booked a two night stay here at the beginning of December. It's a Novotel, so I was pretty aware of what to expect. Bright airy reception, clean with smiling staff to welcome you. Room-standard Novotel room. Clean and serviced! Location-excellent. Less than five minute walk to Tower Bridge tube station. Value for money- given the fact it is slap bang...

I needed to stay near Tower Bridge for an event and I was put in here by work. The hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly, the place is very clean, with a great bar and eating area. The location is very convenient only a short walk from the tube. The room was very good indeed, the only quirky thing...

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are modern, clean and for London, pretty roomy. The hotel restaurant was good, but many of the waitresses are Eastern European and English is their second language, so you might need to be a little patient. They were very accommodating but speak slowly and clearly. The staff was very good about providing clear...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
