Amazing staff, food and service. The waiter at the bar tonight Siebe was especially attentive and helpful. Loved being helped with a smile. Siebe also gave us travel tips for the following day. Room was extremely comfortable, breakfast delicious, centrally located

I stayed for 2 nights and the hotel was great value for money. My room, although a small double, was larger than I expected and exceptionally comfortable. I have stayed in many hotels and this was one of the cleanest. The doormen and reception staff were second to none and when I had a mini crisis Matilda on reception helped... More

I arrived at the hotel (quite the assault on your eyes - the decor is quite something) at midnight last night after a long day of work and travel, absolutely dying to jump straight into bed. The check in process was quick and efficient and the staff were very friendly. I was told I'd been given a room in the... More

I was always impressed by this hotel. But it is even better, and I endorse the recent positive reviews by others. Staff well-motivated and cordial without exception - which reflects well on the motivation from senior management. Rooms comfortable and very clean. Food 1st class. Not cheap, but you fully get what you pay for. Ideally-situated for Victoria Station and... More

My wife and I booked into the Rubens at the Palace and arrived late (midnight) to be met by a very helpful doorman and a welcoming receptionist (Jenny). We immediately felt at ease after a long and tiring journey. Jenny was pleasant, courteous and helpful and, as we found out, representative of the quality and positive attitude of staff in... More

We stayed for two nights in a junior suite overlooking the Mews. Lovely spacious room with enormous comfortable bed and incredibly quiet considering the busy road outside. Loved the turndown service and 'tidying up' while we were out for the evening. Only niggles with the room were the lack of wastepaper basket in the room which meant when making coffee... More

We have absolutely loved our stay at the Rubens at the palace. The hotel is decorated beautifully. We were upgraded to the African suite, which was amazing! There is 3 of us and we had a double bed and and a sofa bed made up in a separate living area. Turn down service should be given a mention, each night... More

Room was well appointed, very clean, lovely bed. Staff exceptional - attentive without being intrusive. Quiet - a surprise being central London. Several options for eating within hotel; limited menu in bar but open all the time, which was useful. Great breakfast. Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
