This pub has been my local for 33 years and in that time it has reinvented itself a number of times. From being a traditional scruffy but cheerful place to a pretentious gastropub without a smiling barmaid in sight it does in recent years seem to have found a happy medium as evidenced by its obvious popularity - it is...

My wife and I had done a walk around Richmond Park for charity and our family met us at the finish and we went to the Plough for lunch. Well what a wonderful choice ,there was eight of us and it was very busy but we were seated straight away and the service was very good throughout,we all ordered from...

A lovely sunny afternoon, a pretty pub in a quiet residential location, friendly staff, Fuller's Bitter and great food. What could be better? My Ploughman's platter was one of the best that I have ever had - but only for hungry people as there is a lot on the plate. My wife's quiche was light and packed with flavour. Based...

Having lived in Sheen , we know this pub very well and it has many loyal customers and we dine there often. I took my elderly Mother for lunch today and we had excellent customer service from everyone and especially from our waitress Sara. Mum had the sea bass , which came with a delicious sauce , and I had...

We were a family group of six with a booking. On arrival we discovered our booking had been crossed out, however the very helpful staff got a nice table for us. After we ordered our meals, Sunday roast, it was 3/4 of an hour till the food arrived. What a disappointment , the meat was overcooked and tough, had a...

We have lunched twice at the Plough in the last 2 weeks whilst visiting family in the area. On both occasions the meal was delicious. The Plough is family and dog friendly. We did find it to be very busy on the Sunday and chose to sit outside in glorious sunshine. Service on the Sunday was a little slow, due...

During a visit to the area we booked dinner at this pub after reading the reviews online and we were not disappointed. The menu was very varied with lots of seasonal specials - always a good start. The serivice was excellent, our waitress (from Venice as we found out), was happy to recommend dishes and advise on accompanying wines. Our...

Paid first visit to The Plough. Situated in a residential area of Sheen on the night parking was OK. Downstairs area was very busy so was pleased to be shown upstairs in to dining area which offered space and a opportunity to hear my follow diners conversation. The menu offered a good range of options at a good price for...
