I just completed my third stay at the Arosfa Hotel since 2013 and found that the hotel gets better every time I stay there. The rooms and common areas in this wonderfully historic and very English hotel are kept spotlessly clean, the remodeled living room/lounge and recently-added bar are lovely, the breakfast selection is fantastic (every option from full English...

Wow, the reviews were good, but I was wholly unprepared for the level of care shown by who we assume was the owner, Louis. On our first night, we were missing some luggage, and he gave my husband his own coat to wear while we got everything sorted out. He had perfect recommendations for local shops and restaurants, plus made...

The hotel was excellent option for very good price. Close to tube, shops and cafe. Room was small but very clean. I felt myself like at home. Breakfast was perfect: a lot of choise and good cofee. I definitely will stay there again.

Staff is very friendly, welcoming and helping. Room was a bit small but functional, everything works and nicely taken care of. Location is great - close to UCL, British Museum, Oxford Street, and close to three different tube lines.

This was our first stay at this hotel but hopefully it will not be the last. Lovely, friendly staff and a very warm welcome. Our room was a bit on the small size but for one night, we were not too bothered. Lovely rainshower in the bathroom and coffee/tea making facilities. The breakfast was freshly cooked and there was plenty...

This was my first stay at Arosfa, close to both Goodge St. tube and Euston Rail/tube station. The facility is welcoming and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and most agreeable to deal with. Add to that the quiet neighborhood, and the proximity to Soho and Covent Garden, I will be back!

This was my second stay at the Arosfa and am happy to report that it is still a wonderful place to stay in London. My single room was very small, but I wouldn't expect anything else in London, and the recent renovations have made the most of the space and the high ceilings and windows make the room feel spacious....

Very small single room - par for the course in London. Particularly small 'bathroom' which was essentially a capsule - bit uncomfortable to use. It was just me, so I wasn't particularly bothered. The people were very welcoming and nice - they were very happy to hang on to my baggage for me at both ends of my stay, as...

Close to Euston station, good location for access to tube stations. Very nice hotel, nicely decorated, very clean & comfortable bedroom and very modern bathroom with great shower. Lots of choices for breakfast. No complaints at all, friendly and helpful staff, would definitely recommend and have no hesitation in booking to stay again when in London. Great value for money...

Located right across the road from Waterstones books, one block from UCL and a short walk to all of the happenings on Oxford and Regent streets this is a great place for a short London break. I come to London to study and find this hotel the perfect retreat. The rooms are small but breakfast is big.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
