The Hotel is small but the service is huge. My room was clean and though very small it was cute and nicely decorated. I can't say enough about the owners who are so warm and friendly, they go beyond what you expect. For Example I had a early flight out, I was leaving at 5:15am 3 hours before they served...

The hotel is very small, so are the rooms. There's a great attention to details and to make people feel better. The owners are very kind and ready to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel is very clean.

A small hotel in a central location (nearest tube station about 3 mins walk away) offering excellent value for money. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will be staying there again

Lovely hotel! I can warmly recommend it. Very friendly atmosphere and extremely helpful staff. We had some complicated local travel arrangements to make while in London and the owner helped us in every way possible and made sure that we arrived in the right places at the right times! The rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast excellent for this price...

I've been at the Arosfa just one night for a shot-and-gun visit to London. Usually I like to stay in the Bloomsbury since it is a nice area, well connected and close to everything I need. My last stays have been in much more expensive hotel, but the Arosfa is good, indeed. All what you need for a short stay...

My first stay at the Arosfa Hotel was extremely pleasant and it will now be the only hotel I will want to stay at when I visit London. Its location is close to the British museum as well as St. Pancreas station and the Euro Star connection, which is handy indeed. However lots of hotels can boast of this, so...

From the warm welcome from Tessa and Atilla to the cup of tea when we went back to collect our bags, everything about our recent stay at the Arosfa was excellent. Ok, so the rooms might be a little compact but it was clean and comfortable - more than I can say for some at double the price! Breakfast was...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
