Arosfa Hotel is the hotel to go to for your stays in London. The Landlords Tessa and Atilla make you feel really confortable, they look after you and are anxious that you feel well and satisfied. The location of Arosfa hotel could not be better. It is very close the town center and the next tube station is just around...

In most respects, this is a thoroughly decent B & B. The welcome was good, the lounge beautiful, with wide-screen TV and two computers for free use (Wifi too). The room was clean and quiet, the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good, apart from the minor lapse of having run out of marmalade. But my room (no. 9) was...

This is a lovely small hotel, with very nice hosts. Tessa & Attila were very friendly, and helpful. The rooms are small, but then who needs a big room in London, we were never there, except to sleep. Breakfast was great. The location is excellent, near the British Museum, book stores, the theatre district, and tube stations and great restaurants...

Although we only stayed one night at the Arosfa we were very pleased with everything about it. The staff were extremely helpful, couldn't do enough for us and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a family room which had everything we wanted and was very clean. Overall a value for money hotel.

First stay at the Arosfa and what a pleasant surprise! I was on a fieldtrip with my students to London's museums, so the location near the British Museum and Soane's Museum was very useful to us. Very nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. Nice to use the drawing room downstairs for a cup of tea together. I will definitely come...

Very nice little b&b in a very good location. We had one night there and it certainly was a good time. Room was clean and lovely, breakfast was very good, hotel is beautiful, but the best thing about this place is staff! Tessa and Attila were so nice and helpful, they made us feel as if they were welcoming friends...

This was my second stay at the Arofsa, and I will definitely be returning. The rooms are small but very clean and well-appointed, and the hosts go out of their way to make one feel welcome. I stayed at the Arofsa after a long overseas flight, and had a splendid rest there. The location simply could not be better, especially...

From the moment of arrival, the staff were thoughtful and friendly, My basement room was reasonably spacious and beautifully quiet (despite the gale outside!) Good breakfast, cooked to order. I'll definitely use this hotel again.

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
