We last stayed at La Gaffe in 2013 and returned to London in May 2017, so booked a room there again. It's still very good value for London and the restaurant continues to serve very good Italian food. Very comfortable beds and newly, to us,...More

Thank you for your kind words and appreciating what we try to achieve. I am glad that you mention space as I am happy to let everybody know that all our rooms are on the small side. We do the best with what we have...More
Nice place and close to tube. However room 3 is ridiculously small. I would urge the management to scrap this afterthought of a room, or be realistic for the charge for this room. Nearly £100 a night is a rip off. I could have stayed...More

Thank you Mr Morley for your review. It's correct, room 3 is a small room.....And all of our single rooms are compact rooms. Doubles and twins are bigger but not hugely. We are a restaurant with rooms in buildings from the 1850's....... And these rooms...More
First visit here, won't be the last. Charming place with interesting decor. Excellent, though limited menu. Can highly recommend the rack of lamb. Heath Street is not the best venue for someone wheelchair-dependent as I am but most attentive staff sprung to the door when...More

Thank you for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the lamb, it is one of my favourites. We look forward to being of service again.
we met with friends and each of us choose a different meal. we were all fascinated by the taste of each food. Service was typically Italian and we weren't bothered much by the waiter. We will definitely be back

La Gaffe does what it does well, with no fuss and most importantly lots of free tables. We ate here last night and, while most restaurants down the hill were packed, La Gaffe was almost empty. The menu almost never changes, but that's a good...More

Glad you enjoyed your meal with us. Our core menu does change sometimes but we always tend to retain our most popular dishes. We supplement the main menu with our weekly specials that vary quite a bit........ As for lots of free tables, if you...More

Thank you for your query. The easiest way is by underground. This is the fastest and most direct way to Hampstead. We are on the Northern line which is easily accesible from most parts of central London (Leicester Square, Charing Cross, Waterloo for example) Make sure you take an Edgware bound train heading north and you will arrive directly to Hampstead. We are roughly a four minute walk from the underground station. Journey time from central London is approximately 15-20 minutes. I hope this helps! Bye, Lorenzo.
