I booked this hotel 5 months ago and on the morning of check in I got a phone call saying due to maintainence, we have been located to another hotel and they will provide us a taxi. This hotel is by heathrow airport and nowhere near the centre. I said I have booked to be in the centre of London...

HK A 32 storey tower block with views over the harbour, HK Island including The Peak, obviously the higher the better. Like most HK accommodation, the attractive modern en suite rooms are small but these are well designed to maximise space e.g. suitcases fit under the bed, flatscreen TV, recessed hanging clothes space. There is a/c, a small fridge, a...

I was due to visit London premier Kensington hotel this month, however after several phone calls because the hotel were so say having a problem with my card. The hotel contacted me on the morning I was arriving to inform me that there were no rooms left and that they would be happy to pay for a taxi and I...

I hadn't seen any of these bad reviews from booking.com otherwise I would not have booked. My biggest issue is that their website gives the impression of spacious rooms and that is a far cry from the postage stamp size room and the closet size bathroom. The room was basement level and as someone else has rightly suggested I could...

if you look at these reviews and think it can't be that bad don't be fooled it can!! On Friday 16/12/16 after my husband booking this as a surprise mini honeymoon weekend away I checked out the reviews on here and was HORRIFIED seeing people get there and are turned away to another hotel so my husband rang Friday to...

So I searched up this hotel in the hope that it'd be close to everything we wanted to do and see for the two days me and my partner were in London, and it was. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and happy faces. We were shown to our room and it was the first room right...

So I imagine half the guests , including the folks I was with thought they were booking the Premier Inn Kensington...you are not ! This is an old town house style hotel, no big fancy reception / no bar / no restaurant / breakfast in the basement. The Wi-Fi is only available at the main desk (rubbish), the lift is...

After reading the Booking .com reviews (which were all positive) I was apprehensive after reading the Trip Advisor ones (mostly negative). The Hotel is a great location yards from Earls Court Underground. Rooms are small and you you would not need to have a lot of luggage.(or be overweight!) I experienced the overbooked room/maintenance work scenario when at check in....

The worst hotel experience from the moment I stepped my foot into this "hotel". I was denied check in despite having booked a room through booking.com taking all necessary steps. The excuse was that some rooms were out of order and I had been relocated to a hotel near Heathrow Airport!! Of course I insisted staying at the hotel I...

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. I booked the hotel well in advance (more than three months beforehand). I booked it for the location more than anything. When I arrived I was told my room was not available and I was to be moved "15 minutes away". No apologies or even concern from...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
