This was our second stay at the Windmill, visiting family in the area. As before the welcome was warm, the room comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Our only complaint was a shortage of coat hangers, which shows how good everything else was! I like the fact that it's dog friendly which adds to the warm and friendly atmosphere in the...

Booked this hotel as a quick one night stay whilst visiting London and Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We were looking for something affordable with parking onsite and near a tube station. The Windmill was a lovely surprise and definitely was beyond our expectations. The room had a very boutique feel and loved the Nespresso machine! The pub was lovely...

Location is fantastic, 400 metres from a tube station, shops, pubs and restaurants and as you're probably aware it backs on to Clapham Common. The pub downstairs is nearly always busy / vibrant and has a good positive feel about it. Bar service can be a bit slow when it's busy, but they and restaurant staff always come across that...

I had a wonderful birthday dinner last night with family. We enjoyed an amazing camembert starter, fantastic mains and the best ever sticky toffee pudding! Thank you so much to the two lovely people who served us all night and were very patient with our slow ordering! Nothing went wrong - and I'm fairly fussy :)

This is a nice hotel located by a wonderful commons, i.e., park. The hotel is located outside of the hussel and bussel of downtown London but is only five minutes from the underground. Our room was very pleasant looking out on the common and the staff were very helpful when we needed some assistance. The Sunday Roast was quite nice;...

We visited on 11 November for 2 nights visiting my niece in Clapham and having a day at Twickenham watching the rugby. The room had everything you needed, tea, coffee machine, complimentary milk and biscuits, ironing board and hairdryer. The only thing we would have liked were maybe more shelves in the wardrobe or a set of draws to put our clothes on.Nice...

Stayed for 4 nights in late Sept. Chose it mainly for location, and price was right, but were pleasantly surprised at quality of mattresses, bathroom fixtures and soundproofing. We had dinner once at the pub ... nice menu ... and breakfast each morning .. cold buffet or hot breakfast made to order. Service staff were helpful and friendly. Two things...

Got to the room (32) and it was absolutely gorgeous. Clearly recently renovated and lots of very nice touches in the room and elsewhere in the hotel. We had Sunday lunch there, and whilst it was absolutely packed the roast chicken dinner was absolutely top notch. The service from the bar staff and waiting staff was great. The selection at...

The place is simply beautiful, inside an old pub in the Clapham Common area. Facilities are great and it's very quiet in spite of the busy pub the hotel is in. Room was equipped with Sky TV, tea and Nespresso machine, and free wi-fi. The Hotel is within walking distance to the tube, with Oxford Circus or London bridge 20...

Brilliant location on the common and near to three local tubes and high street. Very friendly cosy feel, lovely room overlooking the common. Booked a twin room as my daughter was staying with me, the beds were very comfortable and facilities were great - loved the coffee machine and decor.
