I stayed at this hotel for one night on my way from Australia to the Caribbean and can highly recommend it! My flight arrived early so I had to check in at 7am and my room was ready for me with a lovely warm welcome from reception. My single room was perfect, the most comfortable bed with eiderdown and a...

We had a wonderful stay in The Goring. We booked bed and breakfast and had dinner on the our second night to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and first class. We received a complimentary glass of champagne each and a gateau with two candles on it after we finished our meal, plus a bottle of champagne with...

I would say, without hesitation, that this was one of the loveliest afternoons I have ever spent. The Goring's famous welcome was outstanding, as was the personal attention from every member of its team, yet it was never intrusive. Numerous guests were occupying the lounge and taking the warm, sunny air on the veranda, and yet each table seemed to...

Dear Mary P, Oh what an utterly delightful review about your recent Afternoon Tea with us - thank you SO much! I am not sure I can write anything here that could add to your glorious praise, heaped upon us as it has been, in Afternoon Tea sized portions, replenished many times over! The Goring is buzzing at this time...

Each time I visit the Goring, I am impressed with how well the staff treat the visitors, and how well the visitors treat the staff (on the whole). This seems to me to reflect how loyal the customer base is: people obviously use the Goring on a regular basis and so get to know the staff who also get to...

We happened upon the Goring as we were a bit lost in the area. We were tired and needed respite. The hostess and concierge invited us in for tea, the owner welcomed us, so in we went. Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
