Excellent hotel. We stayed for two nights in room 206 on the front. The room was comfortable and clean with everything you could wish for from iron/ironing board, hairdryer, free safe, slippers, toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits and a fruit bowl with oranges, apples and bananas. Absolutely brilliant breakfast choices and very attentive waitresses. The bonus for us was the hotel was situated very close to the Central Line tube station and the Hyde Park across the road. With Oxford Street and Paddington very close by. All in All Perfect Couple of days. Will definitely go back again very soon

This was a well located hotel near Victoria Station, and the staff was very friendly. The room was VERY small, and we had a Deluxe Double. I know small is to be expected, but there were a few things that so easily could have made the room more convenient. Some hooks on the wall so you could hang your coats, for example. More than 2 hangers in the closet. I asked for more and was told that each room only got two. I had to take the big decorative pillows from the bed down to the desk because there was NO PLACE to put them so we could use the bed. Our suitcases lived on the floor, so walking about was difficult. A very uncomfortable room for 2 people, even if you are only going to sleep there. The bathroom was nice, but there was no place to put the soap in the shower, so you had to reach out to put it down on the sink, getting the floor all wet each time. One closet was devoted to an iron, which I expect wasn't needed as much as more hanging space. I'm not sure how I would have set up the full size iron even if I wanted to use it. Management, note that these fixes would involve very little investment, and make your guests much more comfortable.

EDIT #3: The hotel on 06/22 finally responded that they had contacted Expedia about the money that had not yet been refunded, and my credit card company confirmed that a request had come through for the rest. So I hope and trust that this saga has finally come to an end. I'll keep the whole review here just to give people a more comprehensive timeline of events.
EDIT #2 (06/21/2022): It took over a month for the refund to come through (the hotel claims this is due to slow processing via Expedia, which may very well be the case). However, the reason why I've removed a star is that they sent less than what we had agreed on over email would be a fair refund. I was told by my credit card company that Expedia was told the manager was on vacation when they inquired about this. My credit card company requested that I reach out to the hotel once again. They have subsequently ghosted my emails for the past two weeks. At this point it has been over two months since I first requested a partial refund and they agreed to it. Needless to say, their customer service needs some work.
EDIT: After emailing with the hotel, they've partially refunded me for the inconvenience and the night I was in the room while the leak was still active. Also, they did move me my last night to a different room, including moving my luggage to that room while I was out.
My brother and I stayed here for five nights.
The third night after a London-style shower or two during the day, I discovered that my room had a leak in it which had not only soaked part of the carpet and dampened the comforter on the bed but also completely soaked the lid of one of my suitcases. However, the member of staff present that night told me that (1) he could not get a hold of maintenance, (2) he could not move me anywhere because they had no vacancy, and (3) he would leave a note in the morning for the morning staff to contact the hotel's general manager because their immediate manager was on holiday until after we left.
In the end, my experience has shown me that responses to problems during the night will probably not be dealt with until the morning but they will eventually be dealt with.
Given the location of the hotel (pretty strategically located close to Victoria Station) and the price, I can still recommend it for people on a travel budget. But consider these notes as an FYI.
Attached are photos of the water leakage. I'd already sopped up the water on my suitcase lid using a spare towel.

We booked a superior room at this hotel back in january. But when we arrived last week we were allocated a shoe box!! Downgraded to an economy room. We were not told by reception of this at check in. So it wasnt until we made our way up to the 3rd floor (no lift) to be greeted by the smallest room ever. The double bed fit snugly on 3 sides by walls. There was no space at all to move. We made reception aware and they couldnt explain the reason for the downgraded room. Due to it being marathon weekend they couldnt allocate us an alternative room at this hotel or any others in the hotel group. Needless to say we got a full refund and left for another hotel!!!!

Room tiny! No space for suitcases in this room. On the plus side, good shower, airconditioning and quiet. Housekeeping very ordinary, no toilet paper when we checked into the room and rubbish bin in the bathroom not emptied during out 4 night stay despite being full.

I'd have liked to have a room with windows but it is what it is. Very clean and felt safe in the hotel. Bit disappointed to pay for a double room and only receive two singles pushed together with two single bed sheets and really thin pillows but it is what it is when it comes to 'budget' hotels in London

Booked the economy double which was on the lower ground floor. Room was small but we're only using the room to shower and sleep so it didn't need to be any bigger. Shower was powerful with a rainforest shower head and a hand held attachment too. Staff were attentive and very friendly. Only downside was that there is no restaurant on site due to the hotels size but we were given plenty of recommendations and there is loads nearby. We stayed in two rooms this trip; before our trip to Paris and after. On the first leg we had a room on the top floor, lots of stairs as there is no lift but this did not bother us too much as the room was lovely, very modern and comfortable. An iron and ironing board are available in the room ,a hairdryer,a safe,free wifi, and also a kettle for coffee and tea. There is no breakfast supplied in the hotel but a discount is available from a local cafe. Again this did not bother us too much as we bought something from a supermarket to have in our room for breakfast. On our return from Paris we had a smaller room ( not so many stairs), cozy but very modern and had all the amenities of the first room. The staff were lovely and extremely friendly and helpful and represent the hotel well.

Check in at the Mornington Hotel London in Victoria was quick and efficient. The hotel is situated not far from Victoria Station, and is very close to the underground and various bus lines as well as train lines. I was there for a six day stay the room is perfect. It was very clean the bathroom was spacious and had a very nice shower with very hot water. The room the linens were cleaned daily. The air conditioner worked perfectly as the weather was warm and cold while in London there was a kettle for tea and coffee. My wife wanted to suggest a small mirror in the storage closet next to the hairdryer and an ironing board. The staff was professional and courteous, and always had a smiling face no matter the time of day, I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance to visit London thank you

Hi there. No, not really. I had to keep putting my medium sized suitcase on the bed to open it fully because i wasn't able to open it fully on the floor. It's a cozy enough room assuming you are travelling light. I wasn't really and some of my shopping bags eere were making the room feel smaller.
There are more places to choose from in the London area.
