Very well placed, minutes walk from Hyde park, underground stations and Paddington train station i.e. right in the centre of visitor land. It's a sort of bolt on extension to the Mitre hotel next store with separate entrance. This was a down market sort of place but perfectly acceptable to us as somewhere to sleep while visiting London for pleasure.... More

Booking cancelled after many hours of booking. Bad customer servicing. Almost been no where to stay as the cancellation informed too late. if i have been informed well ahead or even calling me then i can arrange other alternative.

I chose this hotel because of the location, very convenient to the Eurostar and Kings Cross Rail. It is less than a 5 minute walk across Euston Street to Argyle. A small but very, very, clean hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The is no life and no phones so don't expect a morning wake up call, but they... More

Spent one week at this hotel in early September and will probably stay here again if another London trip comes up! The only complain I've got was about other hotel guests hogging the shower (who showers for 45min when people are standing outside knocking and asking the person to hurry up?). Stayed in room 7 on the 1st floor with... More

We booked a room for 80 euro a night. This is great value for the location (5 minutes from Paddington station)! We were in room 16 on the top floor. I don't know how many flights of stairs there were, but it was quite exhausting! The sink was actually in our room, and the shower room had a toilet and... More

The best thing this hotel has going for is the location. It is very handy for Paddington and only a walk to many places of interest. But, you would not want to stay in the room any longer than you have to. We were given room 12 which was 6 flights of very old stairs (no lift) and at 68... More

This is a very basic but clean hotel. Definitely not travellodge standard. However, the room, shower and toilet were clean and towels were changed every day. The room (no.3) was on the ground floor at the back, and was quiet and safe. There are no frills apart from tea/coffee making facilities and a TV. We had breakfast in an Italian... More

This review is in advance of the high tourist season, in warning ! I stayed here last year. The Fairways slum Hotel is actually a part of the Mitre Hotel next doorl, where you check-in at the worst Reception scenario in Europe. The green-lit ( appropriate ) exterior of the 'Hotel' has AA recommend stickers and other quality 'awards' The... More

Overall an OK stay, next to Hyde park and Paddington station. Reception is next door and you must drop your keys off before you go out for security reasons. Very basic and very out of date but felt clean enough. Stayed on NYE unforunately someone had kicked the front door in and broken it off its hinges when we got... More

We stayed there for three nights in July. When we arrived on Saturday pretty late after 7 hours coach ride from Manchester, we were welcomed by a very unenthusiastic receptionist. She informed us we have to check out and check back in the next day, because we had two separate bookings for the 3-night-stay. And we were told we have... More
