A great hotel with welcoming staff and a vibrant pub next door. This is ideally located for local attrations(Buuckingham palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey) which are within 10 min walk. An underground station is 2 mins away from hotel

I stayed here again for a 2 day trip, having stayed there in November 2016. This time I had a deluxe room on the fifth floor. The check in went perfect and, although we were almost two hours early, they allocated us a room that was ready. The room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed. If you...

We stayed one night at Sanctuary house and found the room, staff and food to all be excellent. Beautiful central location - you couldn't ask for more in a hotel. Wonderful pub downstairs too. We had a snack and breakfast, both were delicious and very good value. Love having proper milk in the fridge and good selection of tea.

This was a short business trip made very enjoyable by the hotel. It was a great location close to Westminster and London Victoria with great service and great staff. A bit of street noise was apparent but not enough to keep me awake. The room bar had fresh milk one up on all other hotels. Loved my stay.

Although part of a pub it was a pleasant surprise to find such a nice small friendly hotel in such a high profile area - was concerned about being on the main road but no problem with traffic noise in the night - slept just fine! Room was well equipped and very comfortable!

I was recommended this pub by a colleague who had stayed in hotel several times. I was staying in a hotel a few minutes walk, so this review is just for the pub. I had the Pie and Ale taster which was very good and a great combination of pies and ales. No issues with the food or drink and...

Great place if you plan on walking to all the sites while you are on vacation. The furthest walk was London Bridge but the walk there we got to see random stores that we would never have stopped at other wise.

I stay overnight occasionally near my office in the St James' Park area. Generally the options are the typical corporate hotels. This was so much nicer! The standard of the room was great (real milk for coffe!) and service was very relaxed and friendly. I'm just sorry I had a breakfast meeting and missed trying breakfast.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
