+ The price is good + Waiters are attentive, even if it's hard to get to them in the evening. + The food is tasty - Rooms are noisy, with street noise and parties in the tavern. - Getting anywhere means a 30 minutes commute - They threw away my full box of earplugs and my leather night mask. No...

A real bargain considering the excellent location near the station and within walking distance from the main attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities were cleaned first thing in the morning and checked throughout the day. Although the hostel was pretty much full I never had to wait for the showers or toilets. It is right on a main road, but...

There wasn't much wrong with this place. Free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, a bed and decent bathrooms. It had anything you might look for in a hostel, and it was pretty cheap. It's also not too far out from the centre of London (relatively). It took me a minute or two to find the place, because it's above a pub. For...

I've had the great fortune of staying in many hostels around Europe but this is among the best. In no particular order, here's why: cheap but excellent value for money, extensive breakfast included, clean rooms, good transport links, one of the best pubs in London (The Royal Albert) is a ten minute walk away, there's a great pub downstairs (which...

Cleaning staff not courteous at all. One bed mattress cover in the all female room was soiled with 1 foot of freshly dried blood. I noticed they were going to put a fresh sheet over it. When I pointed it out one cleaning staff said it was okay to cover it. I was appauled and stressed it was so appauling....

I stayed here twice before departing for, and upon arriving back from an Expat Explore tour, and its a great location for that purpose. Super helpful staff and location right next to a train station, plus the included breakfast serviced every need! The nights I stayed was a little loud due to it being a weekend and above a bar,...

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
