Just outside the entrance to the Greenwich DLR Station this is a pleasant place to stop. A good number of tables outside in the sun and lots of room and a good atmosphere with lots of screens to watch the football. The club sandwich was...More
This was the very first hostel I ever stayed in. I stayed here for as out three nights and it was ok. It's located just outside London in Greenwich near Cutty Sark.
The cool thing about the hostel is the bar and restaurant on the...More
We booked this place as our tour to Europe was leaving right outside. Unfortunately everything else was booked out. It was a typical backpacker place but the price was outrageous, and certainly not backpacker prices. Rooms so tiny. Couldn't be anymore basic. Shared toilets and...More
I stayed in the 6 bed mixed dorm (as there were no female only rooms left). Really nice hostel and super cheap with a free breakfast (provided you are awake between 7am-9am). Was able to cancel a few days off my booking as I had...More
Coming off of a week Xpat tour and having stayed at this Hostel one night before (before leaving on the tour), we knew more of what to expect and were very tired. The room that we had (#5) is a private room with a double...More

Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a
laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
Where we you put your stuff at night etc? I see there are lockers in the downstairs area but what about in the rooms?
